As far as Chromebooks go the new plus line seems like a nice step forward. With Google’s guidance on the specs of the devices the plus line really seems to make the Chromebook line a viable alternative to Widows. I am impressed with the device performance and aesthetics. Highly recommended and

I am absolutely loving my Chromebook so far! I use Google for basically everything, so I knew it probably made sense to get a Chromebook rather than a Windows PC. I definitely made the right choice! My favorite thing so far is that I can send/receive text messages via Google Messages.
I will say that if you are a PC gamer or if you use Microsoft Office a lot (Word, Excel, PPT, etc), then a Chromebook probably isn't your best choice. You can use MS Office products via Office 365 in the browser, but since it's not the actual application, you may find it limited. But if your primary purpose is streaming and web browsing, the Chromebook is an excellent choice!

While i cant speak to the longevity of this computer, it is fast and responsive for a relatively cheap computer. My wife uses it for online courses and it works perfectly.

Got it on sale for my wife, works great and she loves it. I am not a fan of chromebooks personally but its what she wanted. I was shocked how great the screen looks and how responsive the touch screen is. Overall im happy with the purchase and would reccomend to anyone looking for a nice chromebook.

This is my second Chromebook and it is a big upgrade in speed. This HP is lightning fast. And, caught a great sale at Best buy for $379. The lighted keyboard and excellent Bang and Olufsen front speakers are additional features. You can't go wrong with this!

I love this Chromebook. I was hesitant at first because I had one before and I could not use Microsoft Office. All the apps were different before as well. Fast-forward 7 years later, I am now able to connect the Chromebook to my phone (I own a Samsung Galaxy), Download video-editing software apps and browse the internet knowing that I do not have a virus with built in virus protection. I was also worried about the i3 processor because I have always been used to a laptop with an i7 or i9 processor because I downloaded big files. I just pay 2 dollars for the extra space in my Google cloud. I love the bright screen and how it folds into a tablet as well. I downsized my laptop since I always had a 15' screen, but the 14 is just what I needed for travel.

One of the best laptops I've ever used for this price point. Very nice graphics and bright screen. I love that it is a touch screen and that the keyboard is backlit. Plenty of storage for this price. Can't go wrong with this laptop.

I gave this laptop as a present to my daughter. She has limited computer knowledge. Set up and application was straightforward and created no issues. She immediately used it and was confident with no need for an external mouse. Start up is fast and virus protection is appropriate.

Excellent upgrade from chromebook. SSD mskes it go very fast. Seamless user experience across tabs. Only missing item could be HDMI port but we had usb-c to HDMI converter and the stream to 4k television was brilliant.

This HP chromebook plus is without a doubt the best laptop for browsing the web and checking bookmarked pages. It is fast (i3) and dependable, with features usually found in high end units, All in all, a great choice for non gamers.

PROS: It's fairly thin and light, the screen is high resolution without being overkill and it's taller, thin bezels around the screen, it says it's 250 nits but it looks more like comparable 300ish nit screens, the keyboard is backlit and the track pad is large and I believe glass and both feel great, well balanced port selection, a generally attractive looking laptop, and upgradable WiFi and ssd. CONS: Whew, this doesn't quite match other Chromebook Plus models of the same time period. This thing came out at the same time as several other Chromebook Plus laptops and yet it comes with a 12th gen i3 chip and ddr4 RAM instead of a 13th gen i5 or core ultra 5 and ddr5 RAM. The laptop also doesn't get the best battery life despite being a lower power chip. Other comparable Chromebook Plus models have Thunderbolt 4 but this one tops out at 10 gigabit. The bottom of this laptop is plastic. It's very convincing at first glance but it isn't cool to the touch so I got brave and took out the screws. It's number 7 plastic. Most other comparable 700ish dollar Chromebook Plus models are all metal so it seems like they really cheaped out and since it looks fairly convincing (especially at the store) it seems very deceptive. It's also surprising difficult to open. I'm not one of those "one finger open" snobs but it's genuinely difficult to open. My final gripe and maybe the biggest is how incredibly flexible the laptop is when open. When it's open and you hold either corner, it visibly bends. It bends so much that the track pad can't be clicked. I've never seen a laptop that bends this much. It's feels cheap like it's going to snap. It flexes and creaks so bad.

So far, I have enjoyed using my new HP Chromebook! It is the ideal size for what im using it for. The versatility of the 2-in-1 feature is pretty cool and I couldn't have bought a better chromebook for the money.
