There cartridges work great, but they are just way to expensive. There is no easy way to refill them either because of the usage chip. Almost cheaper to buy a new printer when you run out of ink......crazy.

So this printer I have has a need for this ink. Has good coverage; however if you do a page count I was not able to get nearly the amount of pages I should have from each cartridge. My printer just died.. So I have moved on to other ink for my new printer.

Not a fan of these ink cartridges. They clog and run out of ink long before you think they should. BUT, when you need to print something and you're out of ink, you have little choice.

      Hi,

I am sorry that the cartridge didn’t seem to be a good buy. I can understand if you are not happy, but rest assured that we take your feedback very seriously.

Your ink usage determines how long each cartridge lasts. High-density prints (such as images and graphs) will use more ink, especially if the paper is highly absorbent and the surrounding air is dry.

Always use the power button on the printer itself to turn it off. That gives it time to ‘park’ so that the cartridges are protected from excessive drying, which can cause clogs.

If poor performance you experience appears to be due to a defective or counterfeit cartridge, please check about returning it to the seller.

I purchased a new ink cartridge, installed it in my printer, but none of my copies would print. After cleaning inside the printer, & trying to print numerous times, I looked at the ink cartridge box & saw that the EXPIRATION DATE was almost a YEAR & HALF AGO. Obviously the ink had dried up & therefore wouldn't print. Why was this item still on their shelf ??? Don't they even check their inventory ??? VERY DISAPPOINTING.

This cartridge serves its purpose, but seems quite expensive when considering how quickly it wears. Although probably suited for older components, it is a normal ink dispenser for not so normal a cost.

      Hello,

Sounds like you appreciate the performance, but not the price. I can provide some insight as to why it’s advantageous to use our cartridges. Original HP cartridges are designed to work better with our printers to deliver premium quality and reliability.

HP has formulated inks that are water-resistant and fade-resistant. While those qualities might not be immediately evident, it’s important when it comes to the permanence and durability of your prints. If you’re interested, you can read more here: www8.hp.com/us/en/printers/print-permanence

Since you mention older components, it sounds like you might be needing a newer printer in the near future. If you do, be sure to consider one that can use Instant Ink. Many find that the pay-by-the-page subscription plans do save a lot of money. Details can be found at: instantink.com

I guess this ink works. Unfortunately, my printer is broken and I will not be able to use this ink. Going to buy a more expensive tank style printer, instead of the cheap printer, and continue to get ate alive on ink costs.

These cartridges dry out entirely too quickly. I *maybe* printed 20 pages with this cartridge and it already needs replaced. For the price, it's just not worth having an HP printer.

      Hi Doc,

I am sorry that the cartridge didn't last long. That seems disappointing.

If you think the short life was due to a defect, you could see about returning it. According to the Best Buy website: "If you receive a product that is damaged in shipping, defective or that is not the product you ordered, please return it during your return and exchange time period to Best Buy and we'll arrange for a replacement. I hardly use the color cartridges, and very light coverage of the black; Maybe 6 or 8 pictures, and 30 or 40 sheets with black only, and this thing says it is getting low and print quality suffers. for the price, they should last longer.

      Hi John,

It’s a shame you aren't enjoying the HP printer. We strive to make products our customers like. In this case, I see we fell short. Print preview, black ink settings, and thinner paper all help to conserve ink. Consider turning off the printer after printing. If you want to chat with HP, our contact information is available at www.support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp/.

I wish I didn't need to buy three separate packages for cartridges. HP needs to make this easier. Best Buy should also stock better for these as they are often not available at the store... I will not buy another HP printer...

I only purchase the cartridge for my hp printer. Each time I use one of the cartridges purchased at best buy, my computer tells me it is not a genuine HP product. I choose to ignore it, but I wonder if they are really genuine.

This cartridge performed rather poorly in my HP Photosmart printer and I ended up having to reload the software program . Also, the Cartridge was not filled to the proper level of ink so I had to have it refilled at Costco.

Bought during the pandemic and did curbside pick-up. I was low on ink and could not get to school to print. The school opened back up so I did not need it. I opened the box after 2 months and printed several pages and that was all it would print. My printer is fine. I see the date on the hp box said China NOV 2018. I have 564XL. black ink. I wil not buy ink from Best Buy without checking the date . I cannot get into the store to return it.

      Hi,

I am very sorry that your cartridge was an old one. The date is actually the date the warranty ends and that is usually at least a year after it was manufactured, so that date indicates it is quite old indeed. I can understand why you rated this so low.

Normally you'd be able to return it or exchange it either to the store or by mail and they have extended the holiday return period. If you wish to do a return, or contact customer service, information about that can be found at:
