Getting an XL if you can afford it is more economical as it lasts a lot longer than a standard cartridge (doesn't dry out as fast, either).

The 61XL works much longer than the Regular 61. I Highly recommend Paying the Xtra Money and Buying the 61XL.

The XL size helps extend the life of printing and is a good value.

As with all inkjet cartridges, they don't last long. They just aren't meant for mass printing. I use my inkjet printer at home sparingly (using it for work) but when I do use it, I need to print in mass quantities and more than once I have been failed by the inconsistent quality of inkjet printing (printing text). As most know, once the ink gets slightly low, you start getting inconsistent black levels in the text. But that is a limitation for inkjets as a whole, not THIS cartridge. This cartridge is great in that it lasts twice as long as the normal cartridges, but I knocked it down one star because let's be honest, there shouldn't be an XL black printer cartridge and a normal(?) cartridge. The "XL" should be the standard.

This 61XL High Yield Ink Cartridge (Black) for HP printers gives a solid black output. The quality is superb. I have tried the Office Depot version but my printer would not accept it. I tried the so called Original Equipment of the same manufacturer but purchased it from an Ebay seller but it did not last long. I believe that the OEM from Bestbuy is the best quality.

Need for multiple printers. Fortunately , usually in stock .

Product was good. Clerk refused to honor a $40 Rewards certificate, said it expired. My wife and I have both had surgeries recently and we could not get in. If rewards are for doing business with Best Buy, they should not expire or maybe we should also stop going to BB!!!!!!!

HP ink is the only ink used in our household. It is easy to install and I get many copies out of one cartridge.

This ink prints well. It is not expensive. I have not had the printer long enough to know how long the ink lasts.
