Purchased the wrong ink
||Posted .I purchased this 61XL instead of the 60XL, and it was incompatible to my printer. I opened the bag inside the box and I need to returned to the store. According to her policy, she doesn't exchange to me, after asking her to give me the exchange again and again, finally she did it for me because I have nothing to do with the 61XL ink.

- A:Answer The 61XL black ink cartridge looks a bit larger than the 61 and it prints more than double the number of pages, which is a savings over buying "2" 61's-especially when they are on sale. There are only certain HP printers than can use them and they are listed in the 61XL description on the Best Buy website. Hope this helps.

Q: QuestionCan you use only a black printer ink in your HP Envy 5530? I don't need color. If so, would you simply leave the used up color ink in the printer?

- A:Answer Yes. You can use the HP ENVY 5530 All-In-One Printer in the single-cartridge mode. I would recommend using the setup cartridges first. Then, when the tricolor ink cartridge is empty or low, you would take that ink cartridge out. The printer will automatically go into the single-cartridge mode. Then, you can print with just the black ink cartridge if you wanted to. So, you don't have to replace the tricolor ink cartridge.

Q: QuestionWill the ink dry out if not used for many months when I'm away?I am currently using the ink that came in my new DeskJet 1513 printer (which is under the 1510 series). I'm anticipating needing to buy a new cartridge before I leave town for the winter in a month and trying to decide whether to purchase the standard HP 61 or the longer lasting HP 61 XL. I never had any problem with this scenario using my old printer (another brand) but don't know about the HP. I will close up the printer and turn it off and I do leave the heat on a lower temperature when away.

- A:Answer No, you need to have all 4 cartridges in the OfficeJet 6978 printer in order for it to print.
