    I have purchased several HP61 cartridges and was getting disgusted with the number of pages printed. It seemed like I was replacing cartridges every time I used the printer. So I switched from Walmart to Best Buy as a supplier and also got the xl cartridge. It is lasting much longer than I expected. Will be using Best Buy in the future.

    HP has been my preferred choice for printing/copying/scanning needs for both personal and professional use. The fact that they are one of the few to offer color ink in just one cartridge is and in XL capacity is why I originally choose an HP product and has since become my printer of choose for the past 15 years. This only down side is that while the offer multi-packs in the XL black ink OR TriColor they do not offer a Multi Pack that has Both XL ((for example: 61XL Black & 61XL TriColor (1 cartridge of each)) Which is why I only gave this product a four star rating.

    I have tried various discount brands of ink cartridges and have experienced problems with most of them such as failure to print and short usable life expectancy. I have also tried refills with similar results. I buy only original HP cartridges now without a problem. I believe they are worth the extra cost if they do cost a little more.

    I never got to use it as my old hp printer broke and I gave it to someone who could use it. It is good ink but not for my new not hp printer.

    I usually buy the XL as it provides more ink and is a better value. If you can find the 2 pack of XL, that's the best value.
