The HP 61 ink cartridge is easy to install and does a good job on the printing. I don't think I get as many pages as they claim, but I am pleased with the quality.

The 61XL cartridge gives more pages up to 2.5X more pages than the 61 cartridge. It cost a few dollars more but the value is worth it.

I decided to go with XL over normal since it gave me good impressions and stopping the alerts that ink was too low level too soon. I had tried in the past with refilled cartridges from a local vendor but at end of day its cost went up to same or even double since i had to use various refilled cartridges against on single XL. I do highly recommend original ones, plus the quality is better when printing detailed color pages. Printing is mostly focus to get high school homework done from my daughters. I am ok with the prodcut and i will continue to keep using original ones.

I bought this at a good price, I was using the regular HP61 ink cartridge and this time I bought the HP61XL. It does last much longer and is worth the extra money.

If you have an HP printer, do the right thing and get HP ink, no rebuilds, no "replacements", but the genuine article from HP. They're a couple bucks more, but worth the added cost. Experience has shown me the XL cartridges are VERY much an added value if you use your printer to excess, as we do........ again a few more bucks make for MANY more copies. Always a big fan of HP products, these keep the faith with me.

XL is the way to go. Quite a bit more ink than standard cartridge. Best bang for your buck.

I have used this ink for years. I have never had a problem with it. I highly recommend it.

While it's more expensive, the XL is actually a better value since it provides more copies per unit of cost.
