    Just don't stock up on them as HP has a date indicator in the cartridge which will shut the printer down if the ink is expired.

    I think the cost is way to high for these ink cartridges. In the past, I had tried to refill them, but for some reason, HP does not function with refills. So I have to be wasteful and buy new ones whenever I run out.

    It's black ink, good and dark and like any HP ink, it's costly and only lasts so long. You get what you get when you buy HP.
