The HP 950 XL cartridge is a good value because it really does last more than twice as long as the smaller one - it goes on forever. The smaller 950 runs out very quickly by comparison. But these cartridges seem overpriced in general compared to the cost of the printer.

I don't print a ton, ~800 pages a year, and this tank lasts me for at least 6 months. However, I do NOT shut the printer off, instead I let it go into power save mode - which avoids the need for the printer to clean the heads after each power ON.

There Are Lots Of Other Compatible Ink Cartridges, But HP Quality Is It. It's Always Clear, Never Smudges and The Prices Are Reasonable Considering Inflation Of All Things Today.......... Last A Long Time For The Average Person That Prints About Three Times A Week!!

Kept getting empty cartages on printer screen. Used backups but still said empty. Bought ALL NEW cartages and installed same. Still showed empty. Can't fix so had to buy new Epson printer. Will not buy an HP printer again

This is definitely my 'go to' when it comes to printer ink. Considering that I go through reams of paper in a school year, this stands up to all the challenges and does so through the entire academic year and far beyond. I couldn't be happier!

I purchased this extra black 950xl cartridge when I purchased a new HP 8610 all-in-one e-printer. Not knowing how long these cartridges last I wanted to have a spare on hand. I was able to purchase this at a significant discount during a special four hour sale.

Great ink product. Store was stocked with plenty of printing cartridges to choose from. Store was cleaned, and plenty of sales assistance to help with purchasing.

The HP 950XL black ink cartridge is somewhat more expensive than the HP 950, but since it contains double the ink it is well worth the price increase.

Obviously, this is a must have if you have a printer that requires this type of ink cartridge. Anyway, it works as it should and I have no complaints.

In my 8600 pro printer I always use XL cartridges, they cost a little more but overall there is a big saving over buying the lower capacity ones. Plus if you have an hp printer only go with hp ink, best print results will be what you get.

Purchased XL model as it's a better deal than than the 950. Prints without any issues.

So how does one wax poetic or eloquent about Ink? It works. There are few alternatives when I run out. I gave it 4 because.. well I cannot have my expectations about ink blown away. I expect my ink to print, and whaddya know? it does! But not 5 stars worth. Can't give it 3 stars, now can I? That would mean average. Average has a failure rate. This didn't fail. Thus 4 solid stars for doing what it is supposed to do.

This is an excellent cartridge it lasts a long time and I use my printer a lot.

Have used other ink cartridge suppliers, only to lean that when you install their refilled of off brand cartridge, you will more than not receive an error message. I have also found original replacements quality of print is much betttrer.

Xl is much longer lasting Than standard ink. Easy to install and use.

HP cartridges and ink are excellent. This is a big reason why people buy HP printers. The issue is that HP cartridges are expensive. This cartridge is rated to print double the number of pages printed by a regular HP cartridge, and costs only about 50% more than a regular cartridge. If that holds true, then there is some savings in buying this improved cartridge.

This black cartridge prints more pages than the standard officejet 950 black cartridge. I print often enough that it's worth a few extra bucks to get up to double the number of pages. So much less hassle.

Do I like the price of this ink...NO, Do I like the professional results I get for my business using this ink...YES. You pay for what you get, HP ink is the standard bearer of printer ink.....pay less, and guess what...you"ll get less

It's expensive but the quality is good and it lasts a long time (or at least it does for me) I have had to replace the cartridge a couple of times and there is no clogging or problems.
