    HP has never failed with their ink. I have had this machine for years with no problems. The ink is easy to change and my machine recognizes it is HP product.

    I just reviews the colored ink cartridges that go with this black one and the same review applies. It it works it gets 5 stars...if it doesn't work it gets no starts. This one works so it gets 5. Not much else to say.

    I've tried different inks in the past/looking for deals. I always keep coming back to HP. You may pay a bit more for them if they aren't on sale, but the amount of ink you get lasts, and the quality on the paper says it all.

    Upon recommendation by one of the Best Buy employees I purchased the HP XL 950 ink. Wow, my daughter prints a lot for her college class, and this cartridge definitely lasted much longer than the HP 950 cartridge!

    Best ink cartridge for the HP 8600. Suggest you not use anything but HP products on this printer. I've tried substitutes but played with problems. HP app for ink cartridge analysis installs and works flawlessly on Windows 10.
