Reviews weren't great, but prioritized something easy for her to use. It wasn't. When she could get it to print, it was fast, with nice quality text/graphics. But it had too many problems loading/feeding paper, and finally stopped recognizing loaded paper despite going through HP troublishooting steps. Pushing down on the sheets loaded sometimes caused it to pull through about 6-8 sheets at once, but otherwise, nothing. Looking for something else - that might hold together a bit longer, and be relatively easy to use.

What I’d first recommend is cleaning your printer’s rollers, as this often remedies any inconsistencies with improper paper feeding (including issues with paper detection). If you haven't already, you can find the steps for how to do so in this document: support.hp.com/us-en/document/c05379369

- Ensure that you've set the paper guides very precisely, giving specific attention to the paper height guide

Required over an hour on phone with HP to get it working right. HP was good customer service I must say. But taking a printer out of box to set up shouldn’t be so difficult. Also it does not come with any connector cords for set up. It can not be done wirelessly. That being said, it now functions as described. I only hope it lasts for as long as my last HP

The annoying part of this is it will randomly stop working. And I will have to uninstall and reinstall everything. If it were more expensive I would probably be more upset but for the $ its not so bad

Especially if you don't need to get fancy, just want the basics. Good price too. Like that it still has the basic two ink cartridges -- not the five colored liquid ones you have to refill.

I add photo paper to it press print and it won't print them on photo paper. Still don't know what I'm doing wrong. Just wish someone could explain it step by step to me.
