BAD IDEA. Set up was fine, even for me, who is often technically challenged. However, the thing just doesn’t work 90% of the time. I reboot, I have the required app, but it absolutely will not print from my phone and will rarely print on first, second, or third attempt from my laptop. Don’t waste your time and money.

Trouble Connecting

I’ve reached out to support, and their suggestion did not fix my problem. I gave up trying to connect it after going at it 3 days in a row.

They used to be super reliable. This printer is the worst piece of garbage. It's poorly constructed out of plastic, and has symbols that are so obscure, the technician I finally spoke to on the phone ( more about that soon) had to look it up and send me a chart that explained them. After installing the APP and following the directions, it said that the printer was all set. Not even close. I kept getting an error message that it was "offline" even though my computer said it was connected to the Internet. After another 45 minutes of being told to read pages and pages of instructions and talk to a "virtual agent", who did not understand my problem, I FINALLY was given a phone number and case #. The technician had to remotely connect to my computer and even he had to spend another 45 minutes trying to get this piece of crap to work. Finally, it worked. The next day I tried to print, and nothing happened. My computer said there was no printer installed. I had to unplug and replug it a few times for it "re-install". I would NEVER recommend this product to anyone.

HP 2724 printer scanner

I always have to use the computer to log in to scanning from my desktop. I cannot just use the printer controls. Also, the printer keeps going offline so if I try to print off the internet I need to use the HP doctor app to run and fix issues in order to switch to printing. This happens every time I try to print. Not just once and fixed. If I just want to use it as a copier it seems to work. I really wouldn't buy it again if I had the option.
