A little confusing to connect to the wireless service but great printer considering the low costs. Works for shipping labels.

It took me awhile to figure out how to get this printer up and going, it wasn't consistently that I tried to play with it. It continued to tell me printer off line, no matter what I did, I just couldn't get it work frustrating to say the least, because it was purchased to get work done. Never happened! But last night I sat down pulled up youtube and HP's site, and believe it or not, it is working!! It prints nicely and clear the reviews were correct. Its confusing and lots of work.. for me anyway. But now its working I'm able to print from my phone as well. So I'll give it 3 stars. Middle of the road for both the printer and myself I except some of the blame as well lol.

I personally looked at this printer as my savior, because my little sister was always asking me for one since homework and overall school work it’s supposed to be done from the house, it’s helping help us print school activities, transcripts and many things more. Since it’s really easy to use, sometimes I don’t have to print my sister anything, she can do it from her iPad!

My one issue is with the scanner quality. When set to 300 dpi the images almost have a bit of chatter to them, as if the scanner head is stuttering. This mostly goes away when I increase the resolution to 600 dpi, but then the files become very large as a result.
I use the scanner for scanning collectible cards for sale, so the images need to be accurate to the card’s condition. For this, it’s a little bit of a let down, but it still works, especially for the price.
It should be noted that this printer does NOT force you to use the HP Instant Ink subscription service. It pushes it hard during the setup, but it is not a requirement.

I love my printer and have been a HP fan for years. They have never disappointed me. If you're a student or someone who wants a home printer but doesn't want to spend a fortune on it you'll be happy with the quality. The only thing I don't like is the hidden code to set up your wireless printing.

The printer does a good job and looks good. Had a large problem getting it to accept the Instant Ink transfer from my old HP printer and spent an hour on the phone with HP . It would have been helpful to know that the printer goes to sleep and you must push the power button to wake it up so you can print. Considerably litter than my old HP printer so it seems more flimsy.

This is a good printer for the price. It prints well enough for a casual household that only occasionally prints. The wireless factor is great as opposed to my previous printer. Ink replacement seems to be relatively inexpensive when you can find it in stock.
Other reviews talk about the setup process, but I had no issue when starting this printer. It was very streamline and all works as expected.

My experience since purchasing HP Products has been very good over the years. I have a HP Laser black and white printer for many years and it still works well. I have been buying HP laptops for many years. This HP Deskjet 2724 has so far been very good for scanning, printing and copying. I love the Instant Ink option.

Cannot connect to the printer wirelessly.
Comes with 1 instruction sheet that says "install app on your phone to set up printer."
If you want any info you have to print the pages.
I have only printed black and white so far.
The print quality was good and so was the speed.
If I could print from my phone or computer wirelessly, then I would give 3-4 stars.

Brand response from HP Team

Hi there.
I’m sorry to hear that your printer has not connected wirelessly like it should. I can understand why that, plus a lack of instructional material, would be a frustrating start to owning a printer, so I’ll offer some resources and information I hope will help.
First, you can access a setup tutorial as well as user manuals, troubleshooting guides, how-to documents and software updates for your printer on our support site. Do that by following this link: - support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-deskjet-2700-all-in-one-printer-series/29378157/model/31598174
You can also visit a page on our support site that has diagnostic tools for various tasks and issues, including setup and wireless connectivity. You can find the page here: - support.hp.com/us-en/topic/diagnostics
If you need further assistance, I recommend that you contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can help you assess the situation and find a solution. (Please note that because of restrictions on personal movement and workplace attendance associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, wait times for agents are longer than normal. Thanks in advance for your understanding.) To expedite the process, I recommend gathering the following information before the call:
- Model number - Serial number - Your location - Case number (from any previous contact with HP support)

For the price, this printer is pretty much what I expected. Already had a few issues with printouts based on the way it is designed to put the paper in but nothing extreme and only a few reprints. Overall if you need an inexpensive, easy to set up printer, this is a good option.
