HP DeskJet 4155e wireless printer
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is by far the best printer I have owned. I was so pleased to buy it for my daughter for college the very same day. She uses it everyday and it was an easy set up! The product is everything it said it was. Thanks again for the superior product!

Very pleased
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Printer works great with no problems. Even reconnected itself after we lost electricity for a night and half day. The Geek Squad installer was excellent in linking all needed devices and explaining how to use it.

Convenient to print
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It looked more like the printer/fax from Office Space. Figured if I don't ever use it for printing, I can at least re-enact the paper jam scene and death to printer scene from Office Space.

Positive reviews-view with jaundiced eye
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.HP software does not support iMac running on OS 10.x (latest OS that my well-functioning iMac supports). So no WiFi connection! USB connection works fine, but no app on the computer to assess/control the printer. And, as well, no AirPrint. Printer display is minimal so it is difficult to easily change settings. Loading paper is mildly difficult as paper does not slide in effortlessly. Ink cartridge placement is difficult due to deep front opening placement in the machine made worse by a somewhat flimsy ink carriage whose angle of insertion can be difficult especially when placed at mid-leg level.

Posted .Hi there.
I’m sorry to learn that you’ve had such difficulty getting your printer to work with the version of Mac OS running on your iMac. It’s easy to understand why what you describe would be a frustrating and rather discouraging start to owning the device. I would love to help you improve the printer’s performance and have a better experience, so I’ll offer some resources and information aimed at making that happen.
I reached out to a person who oversees this product line, and she offered some guidance. She says that the HP Smart App is supported on Mac OS 10.13 and later. I can’t tell from your review which version you’re running, but if it’s 10.12 or earlier, there are other options.
The product specialist says that AirPrint should be supported. To learn more about using AirPrint on Mac OS, please refer to this document on our support site:
- support.hp.com/us-en/document/c05635968
She concludes by saying that if you have a mobile device, set up the printer and connect wirelessly via HP Smart there. Once connected, you should be able to add the printer on the iMac.

Lifesaver
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this printer. I was nervous at first because its wifi. But there's directions on what to do. But this thing works great and has saved my life. We're in the process of moving, so on multiple times i have had to print documents, sign them, and ,scan them to send them back to the apartments and new employers we're getting. Without this printer i would have been screwed! Libraries don't help you do this stuff and office depo charges way to much. Anyway, this printer has made my life so much easier. Everyone needs this. Fyi if you need to use the scanner i think you need to download a scanning app but its free

Deskjet Plus Plus
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have purchased a few of these HP Desktops for myself and a few friends. The wireless printing is reliable, and the XL ink cartridges are less expensive than those for HP OfficeJets.

Do NOT buy this printer
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Don't waste your money on a printer that does not have a screen. I tried for 3 hours to get this printer to connect with my network. I followed the instructions supplied, even disconnected the WiFi router and reconnected it but it would not work. I then tried to call HP Tech, and guess what? They do not supply a phone number. I Googled HP to get their phone number. After over an hour with their expert using codes and numbers I could never know, and printing over 25 pages on the 'free limited printing cartridge' to test the printer, I finally got my iPhone and iPad connected. However, that technician was not certified to help me connect with my Chrome Notebook so I had to be transferred to another expert and after another hour, finally got connected. I probably would have given a more favorable recommendation except for what happen next. The technician convinced me to sign up for the ink subscription, and in the process, all my connections were erased! 5 1/2 HOURS! I hung up and decided to try again the next day. I was put on hold. I returned the printer the next day.

Good printer for the money
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had terrible luck with HP printers in the past, as they seem to be prone to breaking. This printer seems to be more sturdy and the scan feature is great. It does jam occasionally, but so do $ 500 printers... So far so good

I love my printer
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love my printer. It is user-friendly but, I don't like the cost of ink. No matter what printer you purchase, the ink will be pricey. I think it is cheaper just to buy a new printer than to keep replacing ink. If you shop around you can find a good deal on ink though. I love that it is wireless and that I have the option to print from my phone. Can't beat it. I also was able to purchase this printer with my points which are even greater.

Poor Quality. Malfucntion even new!
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Poor quality. I used it to scan mostly and used it about 6 times. Printed twice and it started to print 95% of the page leaving the edge unprinted. Everything is new so how can it start to malfunction. I don't recommend this product.

It’s a 4 star for me.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I actually love this new printer!! The only negative is I’m not fond of the back loader for the paper. The price was right and I can live with it. I prefer a hidden paper loader that doesn’t make the printer take up so much space.
