This is by far the best printer I have owned. I was so pleased to buy it for my daughter for college the very same day. She uses it everyday and it was an easy set up! The product is everything it said it was. Thanks again for the superior product!

I continue to have issues with connecting to my laptop or phone through wireless connection. The whole purpose was to eliminate wires and seems like I am going to have to add the wire to connect to my laptop. Image is not bad. On the app, there isn't a cancel job button that actually works. The thing froze and kept printing and printing and it didn't want to turn off so I had to unplug it. Waited a few hours and repluged it and it kept printing the same image. I just left it and wasted about have my ink cartridges. Sucks.

This is my 2nd HP printer. It always gives problem connecting to laptop. Even i tried with direct cable to connect apart from remote connection. Everyother times it fails to pick up the laptop connection. I heard the same issue with many of my frinds who use this on personal laptop. Unless HP fix this,All their prints is going to fail. Please correct this issue.

      Hi, Mohan.

I’m sorry that your printer has failed to maintain a reliable wireless connection to your laptop. Your frustration comes as no surprise here, considering you’ve done such extensive troubleshooting yet the problem persists. I want to help you improve performance in this area, so I’ll suggest some resources aimed at making that happen.

First, I recommend you visit a page on our support site that has diagnostic tools for various issues, including wireless connectivity. You can find that page here:
      - support.hp.com/us-en/help/printer

You can also find troubleshooting guides specific to your printer, including ones on connectivity, in addition to the main user manual, how-to documents and software updates here:
      - support.hp.com/us-en/product/model/2100187854

If connectivity does not adequately improve, I suggest that you contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can help you assess what’s happening and find the best course of action. To expedite the process, I recommend gathering the following information before the call:

      - Serial number
      - Your location
      - Case number (from any previous contact with HP support)

Not a fan of this printer. Paper is difficult to load, set up was a nightmare, when copying can't place paper against edges like usual or it crops top and side.

I want to help you have a better experience with the printer from here forward, so I’ll direct you to some resources aimed at meeting that goal.

You can also visit a page on our support site that has diagnostic tools for various tasks and issues, including cartridge installation, print quality, operating-system compatibility and connectivity. There you can find a general-purpose tool called the HP Print and Scan Doctor. If you use Windows, the tool will help identify and guide you through solutions to a wide range of common printing and scanning issues. You can find the page here:

I love my printer. It is user-friendly but, I don't like the cost of ink. No matter what printer you purchase, the ink will be pricey. I think it is cheaper just to buy a new printer than to keep replacing ink. If you shop around you can find a good deal on ink though. I love that it is wireless and that I have the option to print from my phone. Can't beat it. I also was able to purchase this printer with my points which are even greater.

I love this printer. I was nervous at first because its wifi. But there's directions on what to do. But this thing works great and has saved my life. We're in the process of moving, so on multiple times i have had to print documents, sign them, and ,scan them to send them back to the apartments and new employers we're getting. Without this printer i would have been screwed! Libraries don't help you do this stuff and office depo charges way to much. Anyway, this printer has made my life so much easier. Everyone needs this. Fyi if you need to use the scanner i think you need to download a scanning app but its free

HP software does not support iMac running on OS 10.x (latest OS that my well-functioning iMac supports). So no WiFi connection! USB connection works fine, but no app on the computer to assess/control the printer. And, as well, no AirPrint. Printer display is minimal so it is difficult to easily change settings. Loading paper is mildly difficult as paper does not slide in effortlessly. Ink cartridge placement is difficult due to deep front opening placement in the machine made worse by a somewhat flimsy ink carriage whose angle of insertion can be difficult especially when placed at mid-leg level.

      Hi there.

I’m sorry to learn that you’ve had such difficulty getting your printer to work with the version of Mac OS running on your iMac. It’s easy to understand why what you describe would be a frustrating and rather discouraging start to owning the device. I would love to help you improve the printer’s performance and have a better experience, so I’ll offer some resources and information aimed at making that happen.

I reached out to a person who oversees this product line, and she offered some guidance. She says that the HP Smart App is supported on Mac OS 10.13 and later. I can’t tell from your review which version you’re running, but if it’s 10.12 or earlier, there are other options.

The product specialist says that AirPrint should be supported. To learn more about using AirPrint on Mac OS, please refer to this document on our support site:
      - support.hp.com/us-en/document/c05635968

She concludes by saying that if you have a mobile device, set up the printer and connect wirelessly via HP Smart there. Once connected, you should be able to add the printer on the iMac.

If you need further assistance, I’ll point out that HP+ printers come with exclusive concierge support. To call and reach live HP+ experts, go to the following URL and enter your HP+ serial number:
