Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.it printed 1 time and stopped and hasn't printed since.I bought the insurance plan for it but was told they don't work on printers.I also could not return it because it was past 14 days.The only thing they(best buy) could do is to send a geek squad member out to my home to see what they could do.I said fine,then they informed me it would be 99.00.But what about the warranty i asked but house calls are not included. all of this conversion took place on the 15th day,one day late for returns.personally,i think this whole thing is rigged against the consumer.

The idea of an app controlling the printer wirelessly from anywhere sounded great, and on the rare occasion it did work that was convenient. I read reviews of people having trouble with the printer/app combo and figured it was old people not knowing what to do. I'm in my early 30's and very technically savy, this app is a piece of junk. And without the app you can't do anything with the printer. It never connects easily, there's always a ton of hassle getting things to print or scan. The app crashes constantly or gives error messages without clear solutions. It also won't let you scan to the app on a phone despite specifically saying that it does in the product description. Stay clear of this printer until they make a functional app

WRONG....... my son and grandson spent hours talking to a HP rep. Finally, after spending hours and I mean hours over a period of days, we got it to print. I left everything exactly as it was and went to sleep, guess what? the next day it wouldn't print, back to the HP rep. and after doing everything he said while still on the phone it still wouldn't print. The HP rep said I could get a cord to connect the printer to the chromebook and that they were universal so it didn't matter which one I got, guess what? WRONG again. After hours of researching, asking questions, waiting for answers, I finally ordered one from Amazon and if that doesn't work my son who's in charge of a large IT Dept. in Florida will be visiting and if he can't get it to work it's going back and it's the last purchase I'll ever make from Best Buy!!!!!!!!!
