I wish the printer would communicate more it just shows how many copies it doesn't ask if you want to scan/print/etc? Or if something is wrong it doesn't show/walk you through it.

      Hi there.

I’m sorry that your printer’s document feeder has damaged paper as well as checks during operation. I can certainly see why this would be a shock, especially with a new printer. I want to help you resolve this situation, so I’ll provide some resources aimed at making that happen.

First, I recommend you follow the steps in a guide on our support site to document feeders that pull through too many pages at once or fail to pick up paper at all. While my description doesn’t specifically address the problem you report, I believe you might gain insight from the guide nonetheless. Find that guide here:
      - support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01728503

If the problem persists, I recommend that you contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can help you assess the situation and find the best course of action. (Please note that because of restrictions on personal movement and workplace attendance associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, wait times for agents are longer than normal. Thanks in advance for your understanding.) To expedite the process, I recommend gathering the following information before the call:

      - Model number
      - Serial number
      - Your location
      - Case number (from any previous contact with HP support)

I'll also mention that HP printers have a one-year warranty from their purchase date that covers hardware as well as ink supplies – and that warranty extends to two years with an HP+ account – so if it comes to that, you might consider making use of it. Hi there.

I’m sorry that you’ve had a difficult time with your printer. I can certainly understand why slow and noisy printing would be an unwelcome surprise with a new device. I want to help you remedy these problems, so I’ll suggest some resources aimed at making that happen.

First, I recommend that you follow a guide on our support site that covers improving print speed; it contains sections on Windows as well as Mac OS. Find that guide here:
      - support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_2817150-2408088-16

Also, updating the firmware can often help improve print speed and other performance. You can find out how to do that here:
      - support.hp.com/us-en/document/c02919168

Next, I'll explain a factor that might be causing the noise you hear. While your printer is powered up, it makes sure that the nozzles are regularly cleared, which can be noisy, especially if the printer is on a hard surface. I suggest you try placing the printer on a padded surface to muffle the vibrations that occur.

If any problem persists, I suggest that you contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can help you assess what’s happening and guide you through the proper troubleshooting. To expedite the process, I recommend gathering the following information before the call:

This printer is a nice option if you're looking for a reasonably priced printer that has all of the functions for home use. This printer can print, fax, scan, and copy. It also uses the HP Smart app which allows for super easy set-up. This printer is a sleek white style and is fairly compact for an all in one printer. It includes a black ink and tri-color ink as well as the power cord. Once the printer is unboxed and plugged in, you'll need the HP Smart app. I could not get the setup process to work from my iPhone, but there is also an app for OSx. The app on my macbook easily connected my printer to wifi and finished the setup process of installing paper and ink. You can easily navigate your printer through the HP Smart app. You can also print directly from your phone to printer when on the same network. There is an option to sign up for HP's ink subscription that will autoship new ink to your home. I don't print items that often to use it, but if you work from home or print often, this is a nice feature. Pros: -All-in-one for home use -Easy access from phone and other devices -Easy set up -Ink subscription Cons: -Somewhat bulky Overall this is a great product and it's perfect for my needs. I like that all of my devices can easily connect for quick and easy use.
