The worst printer I have had. It will not connect to the router properly. USB cord won’t even work. In order to print one page, we turn it on, print one page, turn it off, then turn it back on, print next page. Every HP printer I have had has worked great. We went cheap and got this one at our new home. Don’t make our mistake. Get a 7000 series printer or up.

      Hi there.

I’m sorry that your printer has not performed well with your Mac OS computer, and that the device has used ink more rapidly than you anticipated. Your disappointment comes as no surprise here. I want to help you resolve these issues. I hope the resources below guide you to that end.

First, if you’ve not done so already, I recommend you follow a guide on our support site to printer compatibility with Mac OS. It covers several software and support options for printing with Mac OS on HP devices. Find that guide here:
      - support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_2635044-2489772-16

Next, you might look through a couple of troubleshooting guides specific to Mac OS related to connectivity and printing issues.

      Printer offline or not responding:
      - support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04249334

Printer not found during driver setup:
      - support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04618676

Regarding ink, I can’t say for certain what happened with the supply in your case, but some printers come with what are known as setup cartridges, which have a lower capacity than regular or XL cartridges, and less still than ones in our Instant Ink program.

If you’ve installed replacement cartridges, the XL cartridges designed for your printer have estimated yields of 200 to 240 pages, while the regular size cartridges are expected to produce 100 to 120 pages. How cartridges perform in your own printer varies according to numerous factors, including resolution, how dry the air is and how absorbent the paper is.

Regardless, if your results differ dramatically from the estimates above – and if you need further assistance with compatibility issues – I recommend that you contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can help you assess the situation and find a solution. To expedite the process, I recommend gathering the following information before the call:

      - Model number
      - Serial number
      - Your location
      - Case number (from any previous contact with HP support)

It has horrible connectivity issues. It would require multiple restarts for it to be able to communicate correctly. Very poor if you want to print pictures. Only because of the fact that the colors were really off. I found out that it had a higher chance to connect to your phone so if you need a cheap printer to print from your phone this is probably a good deal

setup was pretty easy. It's pretty slow about printing from connected devices. Sometimes it is unavailable and has to be removed and added to re-establish the connection to the drive. one on of my devices it had an error during printing, and no the drive is unavailable. Tried the troubleshooting suggestions to no avail. thankfully I can print from my other devices.
