The window for seeing the status of operations for the printer is on top of the printer causing you to have to stand up and bend over to see the window if the printer is on top of your desk.

WIRELESS …NOT! INTERNET…NOT!

WIRELESS AND INTERNET CONNECTION JUST QUIT AFTER WORKING FOR MONTHS. NO CHANGE IN HARDWARE. CALL SUPPORT. SAID THEY HAD A SPECTRUM ISSUE WITH WORKAROUND. AFTER SPENDING 1HR 55MIN ON HOLD WITHA REP, TOLD THAT SINCE I DO NOT USE A SPECTRUM ROUTER (I HAVE A ARIUS SURFBOARD …AND EERO’S …THEY COULD NOT HELP ME. I NEED TO USE A SPECTRUM ROUTER. Received the Insta ink replacement in and it immediatly after I printed a couple of documents and its showing an error code stating there is a paper jame or cartridge issue. Checked printer and its spilling ink, no longer printing. Troubleshooted the printer and even purchased new ink and its no longer working! Cheap and not work it! The printed was not even used more then 5 times!!!

Not good if you have poor internet

When I set it up I followed the directions, not using a USB cable. The first time I printed, it printed half a page so connected my old USB cable from previous printer. Printed and scanned fine for 2 weeks. Scanner function stopped working. Won't connect to my internet but connects to the router. My internet has not been working great. Don't now if the problem is the printer or my internet. To scan, I have to disconnect the printer from my pc and hook up my old HP Office Jet 6800 which scans fine but won't print. The unit is light so can pick it up and hook up the old printer when I scan. Paper feed does not hold many pages and I miss being to automatically print double sided copies.

JUNK!

Not only goes through black ink in just a few sheets, no matter that it's HP brand, and I'm only printing letters in black and white! But, this thing is a PITA to connect and keep connected to print. THEN, the stupid thing prints several pages of garbage everytime you start it up. JUNK! I've always relied on HP products in the past. Now, I am looking for something else.

HP app is very difficult to use. Finally, with a help of my colleague, I was able to connect the printer wirelessly. Once working, the ink ran out right away. Left the printer unused for the whole year. Finally, a month ago, I installed brand new genuine HP ink cartridges in and crossed my finger. The print quality was so poor. I have gaps on the document. I wish I never got this printer just because it was cheap.

I’m sorry you’ve had such a rough time with your printer. Your frustration is easy to understand, considering you endured a difficult setup process, rapid ink use and now print quality problems. I want to help you understand what’s going on and improve print quality. I hope the information and resources below reach that end.
First, I can’t say for certain what happened with the ink supply in your case, but some printers come with what are known as setup cartridges, which have a lower capacity than regular or XL cartridges. However, it’s not uncommon for printers that have sat idle as long as yours has to show some print quality issues as a result, especially if they were not shut down properly. The good news, though, is you can probably remedy this.
I recommend following the steps listed in a guide on our support site to improving print quality, including faded or streaked prints, color or black ink not printing properly or at all, and blurred or fuzzy text. Find that guide here:

Does NOT stay connected to Wi-Fi

Since then, I have only had success using this printer 6x since. Every time I go to print I have to reconnect to my Wi-Fi. Here in the last month and a half, I have not been able to connect to the Wi-Fi at all. I have tried troubleshooting multiple times and I am throwing in the towel. I will be purchasing a new printer.

HP worst idea the 4155
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Worst HP printer I have ever bought! It printed about 20 pages before going offline with a "paper jam". It will not engage the WiFi to get online help and I cannot find any paper any where in this printer. HP for the longest time sent emails telling me to turn the printer on and connect to the internet. It was on would not connect to WiFi. When it did print it was very very slow.

Constantly Reinstalling

The biggest issue is the wifi connection. I have fiber internet with an extended range and regularly use smart home products with little wifi issues. The minute my routing resets itself, I generally have to reinstall the printer because diagnosing the network connection through the app typically doesn't work. HP has a horrible app for printing. Lesson learned, I'll spend at least $200 on a printer from another brand
