Had to replace my old HP printer, this one has similar features and supports Instant Ink. I've not have any issues so far, and printing has been quick and responsive. Setup is very simple, I was able to join my network and print to this device within minutes of setting it up.

Printer & scanner functions work well after set up. Disappointed that 2-sided printing requires manually flipping the paper. Set-up instructions are totally worthless, but eventually figured it out by ignoring all the prescribed steps.

It worked fine for awhile then developed a mind of its own. Starting printing unexpectedly. Scanner and fax stopped working. Other than that it was good for a student or just general use not for a remote worker in my opinion.

The printer has been okay so far. The printer prints slowly. I've never owned an HP before so I'm not sure if this is normal printing process or not.

It prints great and scans well too. I wish the paper feeder was on the bottom instead of the back for how it fits under my desktop cabinet. Great price to replace my old HP that the rollers finally wore out.

Pros: good price point, has scanning as an option for its price, prints very clean, wifi connection, print from your phone, easy access to ink Cons: extremely slow printing, app is not user friendly, will not stop making noises It seems pretty good overall and for its price point I'm very glad to have it since my family does not print much. However there is such a major software issue I'm dealing with. The printer is literally making a repetitive noise, as if its trying to prepare for a print, all day long so we turn it off. Then I had a massive overprint, literally sat there trying to find my way through settings and commands and could not locate the tasks menu because the printer would literally print the same thing non stop for 15min!! It only stopped because I FINALLY located the printer command thats supposed to show a list of all the open and unfinished print jobs left, and there was literally 1 task. It was reprinting without stopping like a song on repeat. So failure to HP for not making it easy for the user to locate the tasks menu and whatever is going on where it absolutely needs to keep doing something without stopping. The only other small inconvenience and I knew it was going to happen because of price point so I'm not even dropping stars for this one, its literally the speed of the printer. It is insanely slow. Be aware of that when you buy this, if you're constantly printing, do not buy this printer because you're going to be tearing your hair out if you have more than 10pgs. I only had to print 2 pgs and was able to use the restroom, get water, eat a snack and then get back to my computer before it was half way done with the 2nd page.

Overall very nice and simple printer. The device itself feels fragile and there’s an annoying light that just blinks all day. It won’t go away unless you join the HP ink service and I refuse to join.

So disappointed. I explained to the Best Buy rep that I am 70 and wanted a printer that could connect easily above all. I also said I didn't mind using usb connection. He recommended this one. Well, the first thing I noticed is that it CANNOT connect via usb. Clearly marked on the pkg. But I folllowed the instructions and set it up wireless. All went well and it printed beautifully that first day. I was so pleased. I signed up for HP plus and InstaInk. Then, the next day , it would not connect. No matter what I did or how many videos I watched or how many hours I tried. I tried the Chat - which is a joke really. You don't ever connect with a real person just a robo routine that fixates on a key word and is no help at all and a great frustration. It is set up to transfer you to a person but always says " no agent available. "I tried HP Smart. I reread everything in the manual twice. No luck. So, now I have had to schedule a Geek Squad appt - $80 minimium ( and during the covid surge). So, not a happy customer. at all. I wish I had never bought this thing.

      Hi, Kathy.

I’m so sorry to learn that your printer lost its connection after the first day you used it. I can wholly understand your frustration and disappointment, especially considering you were happy with the print quality at first, and that you went to such effort to solve the problem without success. I want to help you get the device connected and working as it should, so I’ll provide a resource and some information aimed at making that happen.

I can’t tell from your review what issue your printer faces or why it stopped working after you printed the photo. I recommend that you contact us directly so we can help you assess the situation and find the best course of action. HP+ printers such as yours come with exclusive concierge support. To call and reach live HP+ experts, visit the following URL and enter your HP+ serial number:
      - hp.com/plus-help

I'll also mention that HP printers have a one-year warranty from their purchase date that covers hardware as well as ink supplies – and that warranty extends to two years with an HP+ account – so if it comes to that, you might consider making use of it. You can verify the warranty using the following link:

Great device. Bought this for my son going away to college. His apartment is small so the footprint of this printer was just right for his needs and space availability. Looking forward to hearing from him on how it is working for him.
