This is a good solid printer for basic home and office. It is easy really pretty straight forward to use although I did have some software issues in the beginning and others who had reviewed had similar experiences so I suppose it may be inherit with the software included in this model. That said once it was up and running (wifi connected to multiple accounts) is seems to be pretty straight forward. Color printing is pretty good although I haven't tried photo paper. For the price it's pretty much a slam dunk.

    It's an "Okay" printer....

It's okay. I bought this printer to replace a great little OfficeJet 6450 that I've had for years, but suddenly stopped working. It was cheap, so I wasn't expecting too much. I was hoping it would be as good as my old 6450. I don't print all that much these days, so this printer is more than adequate, but it does not stand up to the 6450 at all. It's considerably slower, and much noisier. It also uses this crazy "smart" interface that, as far as I can tell, does all the same things the old 6450 WiFi connection did, but requires a couple extra steps every time you want to print a document. I assume there's some rationale behind it, but I don't understand it. Having said all that, if you're looking for a basic printer to occasionally print out a few documents, or even to print some nice quality photos, this DeskJet 4155e will do the job just fine. I can't say it's the best printer I've ever owned because it certainly isn't. But it is completely adequate.

Small footprint Printer Scanner, easy WiFi connectivity. I had a few hiccups getting it to see my WiFi using my iPad, but it worked as expected on the second try. Probably the Bluetooth connectivity from other devices in my home. The small footprint fit nicely on my printer stand. One black and one tri-color ink cartridge produces crisp fast drying prints. Connected both Windows PCs and iPad (iOS) devices. Even direct print from my Moto phone via Bluetooth. Scanned very quickly to my iPad. Rear paper hopper hold a smaller amount of blank paper in the machines back feeder. 15 or so page auto feeder for scanning. Twain driver made it compatible with my scanning software.

Overall, this is a pretty good printer for the value. We bought it to replace another HP model that finally up and died. Setup is a little clunky trying to get all our smart devices to recognize the printer. The one downside, there is no way to hook up to an older computer via any wires and my old desktop (where this is located) does not have bluetooth. Not a big issue as I'm 90% on my laptop now anyway, but something to think about before you buy.

This printer is compact, but don’t let that fool you! It does a wonderful job and doesn’t take up a lot of space. Easy to program and very reliable. Bonus, The price of this printer is about one third one f of what I have previously paid for printers! You can’t go wrong with this functional device.

I love this printer it’s light and can fit on a small desk. The price was worth it. It’s was easy to set up. My daughter is very happy she has a printer at home she doesn’t have to ask anyone to print her school work. She learn to use it just in a few minutes after she set it up. Good value for the price.

Purchased this value printer at a great price. I am a low amount user so this machine is just right. Somewhat slow but delivers quality prints. It does seem to use a lot of ink for the amount of use. Compact size makes it very useful in a tight location.

When our old printer died I went on the search for a new one. The HP 4100 was my choice. The price was great, was easy to set up and it prints quickly. It is a bit bulky and takes up more space on my desk, but for the money it's a good purchase.

Good day! If you’re looking for a computer printer that is easy to set up and work with PCs or Macs this is definitely a printer you want to look at. It is easy to locate the drivers for the printer on a Macintosh operating system, the details included with the printer to connect it to the Internet are clear, and can easily done with a cellular phone and the proper application. The quality of the printouts are reasonable, if you use the right paper the rollers in the printer should last longer than using alternatives. It is quiet and quickly detects any print job. I’ve found the valuable programs HP had offered to us were well thought out, and attractive to cut costs on print jobs if you plan to use it’s a lot in a small home office. It’s price was reasonable wince Best Buy does its best to ensure you’re getting a fair deal. Please enjoy your your shopping and your printer selection!

Great for use for a home office. Print quality is good and allow for connection to home network so that you can store anywhere in the house and be able to print. Not so big that it takes up a lot of space but for the options I don't think you can go smaller,

Setup can be take a bit if your network is ancient... Once setup is done and HP registered this printer handles it all. I like the top loader for scanning & printing copies. The print quality is excellent and the control panel is easy to read & interpret. Consider this printer for your home office.

HP products do work best with other HP products. HP Smart app is on my laptop HP Envy this was a plus. Accessing WiFi and initial connect setup was super easy with the HP Smart app. HP Smart did step through the account setup, super easy. Setup the printer step by step super easy. Get to print a test page. This area needs lots of improvement, simple did the page print, Yes setup complete, No something is needed to guide the customer on solution steps. Virtual Agent nothing. Scan did work, rules out connectivity issue. Restart the laptop still not resolved. Use printer troubleshooting, clear the queue did not resolve the issue. Unplug the printer wait 30 seconds plug back in to the power source. This was the resolution. I did see other reviews where people were frustrated with the setup, it should be fairly simple to build more guidance into the setup process. 5 stars is simply due to HP has great products and the printer should be great also.

Having used a printer with many bells and whistles and gave out prematurely the HP 4155e is a relief. Lower price tag that doesn't have as many features but is much simpler, half the size, prints better, doesn't spend a lot of time thinking before it does something, and doesn't gobble up ink as fast.

The printer can do just about anything, but it still has issues. There are two locations to put input paper in and you have to test to see which prints from what. There is also problems with scanning and having to reset the printer by unplugging and restarting it. But overall, it works well and is easy to use.
