Though the spec sheet states there is a USB port, HP has removed it and is strictly wireless. It did not connect directly to my iPhone, I would have to have a home network and where I was using this, I did not have a network. I was able to return it, that was the highlight.

My phone says it's connected to the printer but when I go to print it says it can't locate the printer. A lot of time spent re-connecting it and this time, it simply will not connect. Spare yourself. The idea of an app controlling the printer wirelessly from anywhere sounded great, and on the rare occasion it did work that was convenient. I read reviews of people having trouble with the printer/app combo and figured it was old people not knowing what to do. I'm in my early 30's and very technically savy, this app is a piece of junk. And without the app you can't do anything with the printer. It never connects easily, there's always a ton of hassle getting things to print or scan. The app crashes constantly or gives error messages without clear solutions. It also won't let you scan to the app on a phone despite specifically saying that it does in the product description. Stay clear of this printer until they make a functional app
