Set up is needlessly difficult, requiring downloading an HP app instead of just having printer drivers available for download. The user experience is equally frustrating, with the printer sometimes not showing up even after being plugged directly into my Macbook Air. It's possible that the USB-C to USB-A adapter might be part of the issue, but I don't think so because it usually requires power cycling the printer to get it to work. I wouldn't recommend this printer

I get an error the first attempt at printing every time 2nd time works. Printer cuts out on pages and misses them and cartridges barely lasted the fist thing I had to print out just a little over 100 pages of text. Worst printer I've ever purchased in my life.

It does not do 2-sided printing without taking the paper out and reinserting it. There no directions for scanning.

So you can't just print when you want. You have to reinstall it everytime. I've only had a short time. It is slow. Has a lot of paper feed problems. To get it back on line, sometimes it will come back if you unplug and replug it in. Not very good for a quick print. You have to use an app to scan, etc. I decided not to get it fixed, even though I've only owned it since Sep 20. (less than 6 months) HP charges you and sends you cartridges based on it talking to them. With it off line I'm not sure how it knows.
