However, a few weeks later, I traced the real issue back to the fact that my seven year old MacBook laptop required a operating system reinstall and that was the reason that I experienced the problem. I am happy with the functionality of the printer!

But this new printer is not as good as old 4630 which died. Setting up on my daughter's computers was not easy.

Seems like it goes to sleep and the only way to wake it is to un[lug it. Very disappointed. Wish I had returned it right after I bought it but I threw the box away.

First, I couldn't access the online drivers to install it without it trying to attached the printer to my phone. I didn't want it on my phone; I wanted it attached to my laptop for work. Wouldn't do it; laptop wouldn't even show up as an option. NO instructions in the box! Also, putting the ink in was ridiculous. I've had several home printers over the years and never had problems loading the ink. Once you get it in there, if you have to take it out for some reason, the carriage disappears and you can't retrieve it to replace the cartridge. Main problem, though, was the inability to connect it to the proper device. I decided it wasn't worth the hassle and took it back.
