The print quality is ok, mostly using for kids school work, would not recommend for home office type use but it gets the job done. Marked it down to a 3 because the option for there auto ink supply service pops up every time I connect to the printer, get a little annoying

      Hi there.

I’m sorry to learn that your printer has displayed contradictory error messages and that its feeder isn’t working properly. It’s no surprise that you’re frustrated here. I want to help you remedy these problems. I hope the resources below will let you reach that goal.

First, I recommend that you follow the steps in this troubleshooting guide for printers that display an out-of-paper error and do not pick up paper:
      - support.hp.com/us-en/document/c00786157

Next, I suggest that you consult this guide to document feeders that pull through too many pages at once or fail to pick up paper at all:
      - support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01728503

If any problem persists, I suggest you contact us directly so we can help you assess what’s going on and find the proper course of action. HP+ printers such as yours come with exclusive concierge support. To call and reach live HP+ experts, visit the following URL and enter your HP+ serial number:
      - hp.com/plus-help

I'll also mention that HP printers have a one-year warranty from their purchase date that covers hardware as well as ink supplies – and that warranty extends to two years with an HP+ account – so if it comes to that, you might consider making use of it. You can verify the warranty using the following link:

Terrible printer. Disconnects from the network constantly, prints 50 pages per cartridge before running out. Constant scanning issues. Micromanaged ink supplies.

      Hi there.

I’m sorry that your printer has caused you such difficulty. It’s easy to understand why poor connectivity, rapid ink use and scanning issues would be a frustrating combination. I want to help you remedy these problems. I hope the resources below will guide you to that end.

First, I recommend you visit a page on our support site that has diagnostic tools for various issues, including wireless connectivity. You can find that page here:
      - support.hp.com/us-en/topic/diagnostics

Next, I can’t tell from your review whether the ink cartridges you’ve used are the ones that came with the printer or they’re replacement cartridges you’ve purchased. Some printers come with what are known as setup cartridges, which have a lower capacity than regular or XL cartridges, and less still than ones in our Instant Ink program. The XL cartridges designed for your printer have estimated yields of 200 to 240 pages, while the regular size cartridges are expected to produce 100 to 120 pages. How cartridges perform in your own printer varies according to numerous factors, including resolution, how dry the air is and how absorbent the paper is.

Regardless, if you believe your printer’s ink use deserves further investigation, or if the connectivity problem persists – and for input on the scanning issues you face – I suggest that you contact us directly so we can help you assess what’s happening and find the best course of action.
