HP needs to fix the connection issues.

Print quality is great but have spent so much time connecting to wifi, reading thru possible fixes, rebooting there’s no patience left and I’m just going to buy a new printer. Hours of working the problem and then getting one page printed then the same thing happening again - printer is online but then can’t find the network even when trying and resetting for a second router. Direct connect has issues as well.

    Loading paper is Ridiculous!!!

When i set it up thru the app it told me i needed to contact support as there was an issue. When i contacted them i did get decent help but they asked why i was contacting them. When you try load paper its absolutely ridiculous, you cannot load 1 piece or 20 it has to be just right, then you have to hold the plastic piece up to get it in, its a very trying task that should be instant. Also if its loaded too far to the left it created a paper jam? Only printed 3 pages so far, customer service, 3 pages, 1 paper jam, not impressed so far!

I was iffy on purchasing online. I received the printer and it’s better than I thought! You’re able to control printing, scanning, faxing and copying from your phone by the touch of a button. Couldn’t be more satisfied!

    Connectivity Nightmare

I have always purchased HP printers and loved them. After this one i will consider other brands. The screen is tiny, two sided printing sucks, and everytime i go to use it i have to restart it to reconnect. I can't understand why a company who makes great printers hasn't pulled this off the shelves.

    Terrible Connectivity!!

I had an impossible time setting this thing up, and yes I am tech savvy. The app is awful, and the display screen on the printer is no help, since it knly shows symbols that i dont know what they mean yet. And as a few have said already, it would disconnect from the WiFi whenever i would finish printing and then I would have to go theough the whole setup all over again evey time i needed to print something. Must have probably installed and reinstalled this thing hundreds of tines and it still does the same thing to this day. Not to mention problems with the ink running out. And it says the ink is empty when ive just changed it. SUCKS!!!

This is a good, basic, reliable all-in-one device. It has all the features you'd need for light-duty printing and scanning at home. It was really easy to set up and use from my Windows computers, chromebook, and android phones using the HP Smart app. It has a small footprint -- paper loads vertically. It doesn't do duplex printing or scanning, but it does have virtual faxing capability which is useful if you have to fax things occasionally. I've used HP instant ink before, and I think it's a good idea. It helps spread the cost of print cartridges over time, so it encourages you to use it without worrying about running out of ink. I think it would be great for a kid for crafts and school work.

The only problem was trying to install it with the app. It didn’t work, so I just installed the old fashion way on the computer. The problem is I couldn’t register for the fee ink, which is part of the purchase

    Buy one with a touchscreen

I really hate this printer. Since there's no touchscreen, you have to set it up from the app. It always seems to drop the connection. My mom has the same one. We had to switch it to a different wifi network, which was a pain. I finally got that done, but then the app couldn't "see" the network I just connected the printer to. Ugh! I'm giving this one away and buying one with a touchscreen!
