This is also our second generation of a model'in HP 3 in 1 printers. We have been happy in the past, so when I bought my new laptop, it made sense to update our printer as well. The HP 3 in 1 was the obvious choice.

Not very reliable. Connectivity issues Scanning multiple pages sometimes the pages show up out of order or upside down. Good if you need to print one or two pages every once in a while

Love this printer so far! We’ve had it about a month. Super easy to set up on our phones. If your computer is older you’ll have issues setting it up. We just use a cable to print from the computer.

I donated my original printer to a family with kids virtual learning leaking that ... no problem I wanted a smaller printer anyway I will just go crab one. Well a few months later I was thrilled that Best Buy had these in stock. It is small and efficient and exactly what I was looking for. Easy to set up and the only thing I would suggest is doing not go with the instant ink. It made things so much more complicated and I needed up canceling it mid set up and then ... easy peasy all set up and I love that it also syncs with my Alexa. Love Love This printer!

Bought this printer to replace one that was losing some of its functionality. Nice size; doesn’t take up much room on our desk. Pretty decent printing and copying. Does what we need it to do.

This printer works great, does all the jobs I need to do with it, printing is fast compared to my last Hp. This printer scans and prints my whole pages instead of cutting them off like my last printer.

    Regret

Utter trash and I hate it. If it’s connected and working it prints terribly. Now it’s printing faded and skipping whole sections of the page even with brand new hp ink cartridges. No amount of aligning/resetting will work. It’s been a headache since I got it and I wish I returned it from the day I got it instead of trying to make it work. It is not worth buying.

    A Mind of Its Own!

It worked fine for awhile then developed a mind of its own. Starting printing unexpectedly. Scanner and fax stopped working. Other than that it was good for a student or just general use not for a remote worker in my opinion.

Printer & scanner functions work well after set up. Disappointed that 2-sided printing requires manually flipping the paper. Set-up instructions are totally worthless, but eventually figured it out by ignoring all the prescribed steps.

Had to replace my old HP printer, this one has similar features and supports Instant Ink. I've not have any issues so far, and printing has been quick and responsive. Setup is very simple, I was able to join my network and print to this device within minutes of setting it up.

The 4155e is difficult to set up. I followed the on-line instructions and this did not work. I contacted HP support and the first level techs couldn't get it to work. They turned it over to the second level and they couldn't get it to work either. After several days of trying different things we somehow got it connected to our wireless network and got it working. The other issue I have with this printer is the cartridges shipped with the printer only lasted slightly over a month and we do make very many copies.

      Hi, Michael.

I’m sorry to hear that your printer was difficult to set up and that the cartridges that arrived with it have run out sooner than you anticipated. It’s easy to understand why that would be an unwelcome combination and a questionable start to owning a new device. I want to help you remedy the ink situation and have a better experience overall with the printer from here on, so I’ll offer some clarifying information and resources I hope will reach that goal.

First, regarding the ink supply, I can’t say for certain what happened in your case, but some printers come with what are known as setup cartridges, which have a lower capacity than regular or XL cartridges, and less yet than ones in our Instant Ink program. For example, XL cartridges for your printer have page-yield estimates of 200 to 240 pages.

To learn more about your printer and all its features, or for help solving problems, you can access user manuals, how-to documents, troubleshooting guides and software updates here:

You can also visit a page on our support site that has diagnostic tools for various tasks and issues, including setup, cartridge installation, print quality and connectivity. There you can find a general-purpose tool called the HP Print and Scan Doctor. If you use Windows, the tool will help identify and guide you through solutions to a wide range of common printing and scanning issues. You can find the page here:

I had difficulty in setting this printer up but got great help from HP. So far the quality of print has not been great. Bought new ink today and hopefully the print quality will improve. Over all I would recommend this printer if you do not do a lot of printing and are on a limited budget.
