I prefer a real scanner, I only use mobile scanning apps when I have no other choice. This scanner/printer is great! It did not cost a lot, and it gets the job done. It feeds rather slowly, and you can't feed many docs at once, but it is adequate for its price.

This printer was on sale for just over $100. I should have just paid for a higher quality printer. The setup is was difficult--it would not connect to my WiFi or my computer via Bluetooth. I've printed about 10 pages of color before the ink started coming out a funky color. Although my cartridges said that the color and black ink were more than half full, my printouts looked like the cartridges were on 10%.

This printer is a piece of garbage; it has been non-working currently for the past three weeks. Since its purchase it has been inoperable more than it has been working. It keeps telling me that it is either offline, unavailable, not turned on when it is on, etc. I had an HP printer for more than 10 years without one mishap and I would estimate that it printed more than 30,000 pages in that time (I am a writer and manuscripts eat up pages). This current printer can't give me 20 pages before I start getting error messages.

There is no direct connect to a computer, nor bluetooth. Totally dependent upon internet, which takes time to set up, and if you shut computer off and move to different location, you have to start process all over again. If you are on a network, you have to drop off the network to connect the printer, which is insane. I move my printer frequently with travel. Took it back and got a printer with a USB cable.

Nice printer so far, but had issues with connecting to wifi, eventually using the Wi-fi direct option to print. Not sure why HP doesn’t make it easier to connect to internal Wifi. This is the 3rd HP printer purchased, with the first 2 being returned, hopefully it will work out.

Easy setup, slow print pages, doesn't seem as fast as described in Best But information. Hard to connect to computer via usb or wifi, keeps going offline or hard to get to go online. Not impressed, I know it is a $100 printer, but it should work perfectly with minimal intervention. Very frustrating. Choices limited at Best Buy in the under $130 range. This at the time was the only one in that price range. You would think in 3.5 years from when I bought previous HP printer would be a great printer, not so much. I buy new HP printers every 3-4 years and have had many. 300 dpi black and white prints gold not black.

      Hi there.

I’m sorry to hear that your printer has not performed like it should. I can easily understand why issues with connectivity, print speed and print quality would be quite frustrating, so I’ll point you toward some resources and provide some information I hope will help.

First, I recommend you visit a page on our support site that has diagnostic tools for various problems, including wireless connectivity issues. There you’ll also find a general-purpose tool called the HP Print and Scan Doctor. If you use Windows, the tool will help identify and guide you through solutions to a wide range of common printing and scanning issues. Visit that page here:
      - support.hp.com/us-en/topic/diagnostics

I also suggest you look at these documents that cover improving print speed:
      - Windows: support.hp.com/us-en/document/bud03409
      - Mac OS: support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01928898

Regarding the gold ink printing rather than black, I recommend following the steps listed in this guide to improving print quality, including color or black ink not printing properly:
      - support.hp.com/us-en/document/c06557991

If you need further assistance, I recommend that you contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can guide you through the proper troubleshooting. (Please note that because of restrictions on personal movement and workplace attendance associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, wait times for agents are longer than normal. Thanks in advance for your understanding.) To expedite the process, I recommend gathering the following information before the call:

      - Model number
      - Serial number
      - Your location
      - Case number (from any previous contact with HP support)
