Great laptop; horrendous sound quality
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This laptop is great in ever respect except for one: the system latency is so high that the sound crackles and pops even when there isn't anything playing. I opened a case with HP, and they were unable to resolve it, so they sent me a another laptop (refurb'd), and it has the same problem. Not even a third party soundcard (Soundblaster USB) helped. If you're not sensitive to random pops on the speakers and headphones, then this is your machine. But if random pops bother you, then steer clear.
