Great Laptop but Today’s World Requires Excellence

This laptop is pretty good. The only two issues I have with it is the resolution is a bit dull even at the highest level. The sound goes pretty loud but it just doesn’t give a quality sound. The best way to describe it is having your hand over the mouth of your landline phone (for those of us who are old enough to remember, lol) and talking.

My old Dell laptop crapped out and I had to pick out a new laptop pretty fast. The Best Buy tech gave me a few tips on what to look for in a laptop based on my needs. This HP was a bit of a stretch for my budget but I'm hoping it will be around for quite a few years.

Bought this to replace my old HP Envy that has worked great for 8 years. This laptop looks great. It boots up real fast - an order of magnitude faster than my old machine. Haven't done any compute intensive jobs or video calls but starting MS Office apps is pretty fast. All in all, pleased with the machine. The reason for my 3 star rating is that the touch pad gets stuck very often (about 1 in 3 times that i use the left click functionality). This is unacceptable and am a bit concerned on the build quality. Never had this issue in with my old HP laptop. Not a show stopper as i guess most folks will use a mouse.

Your salesman efficiently helped me identify the best laptop to meet my needs. He made me aware of opportunities for savings and also advised me about future purchases that I may want such as a new external hard drive and a new printer.

This is a replacement laptop for my daughter after her previous lenovo gave up the ghost. I asked her how she's liking it and she has enjoyed it for her needs. She likes to draw and it's able to run well Krita, Sketchbook, and some other graphics programs.

This was a great buy for my first laptop purchase. The sound is really good. I didn’t experience it until my granddaughter wanted to listen to JoJo Siwa. I’m still learning all of the features.

Don't be fooled by the i7 chip...this computer is garbage. It only clocks at 1.7Ghz, so it's sluggish, and the fan is ALWAYS on and running LOUD. Also, typing can be delayed. Keyboard is very "clacky" due to the deeper keys. I will be returning and upgrading. Buyer beware.

This notebook is very awesome! I’ve purchased it for my son that is currently taking college classes for Computer Science! He’s able to Remote Desktop into VM machines perfectly. The only set back is the notebook does not have a network port for a RJ45 cable,

2 years. That's how long this thing lasted - and I regret using it for even that long. To say this computer is poorly designed is kind. First off, the main reason this only lasted two years is because the screen started going out. I use(d) this computer for school. One day I did some school work, went to bed, woke up in the morning and the whole screen was kind of smokey looking with weird pale tints. Apparently it's not uncommon for the the Envy 360s to develop issues with the display panel. Might be an easy fix, but for a two year old computer? Yikes. Next, the "tablet". There is no way you can use this separately from the keyboard, which means that when you are using it from the tablet feature, you are also having to grip it by the keys/keyboard. There is no stability, and definitely can't be good for the hardware. Even when you risk using it in tablet mode, it's not very accurate or responsive as you'd like it to be when compared to even low level tablets on the market. The touchpad is the WORST. I don't know if it's really sensitive or it's defective, but even with settings adjustments the mouse just decides it's going to bounce around sporadically. And yet, sometimes getting it to highlight or right click items is not sensitive enough or lags. If none of the above really matter to you, then i would say it's an average/below average computer - especially considering its a 2023 and has the specifications to be much better than it really is. Harsh? Yeah, maybe - but you'd be grumpy too if you spent two years working around the features of your computer instead of it making your life easier.
