This computer has stood up well. The battery died after just one year, but no other issues

Works for home office/personal computer needs .Also works well for my 8th grader's school assignments.

It was SO SLOW on Internet. I tried on several networks before throughout the towel in. Took forever to load programs. And the screen is not vivid at all. Initially I thought it was the lighting in the store display model. Terrible clarity. I returned. I really expected a better product from hp.

But not as much as I thought it would be. It works ok but doesn't stay connected to internet well

Love this all in one. Tablet or laptop is perfect for my business.

Wonderful screen picture excellent technology. Except for the Bluetooth connection. Sometimes it will connect and sometimes it won't. Even when it says connected it would not allow any sound on my speakers or music .I was very discouraged about this problem. I returned it and got my money back

I bought this laptop five years ago, and it's working well except the battery is not working, and it's normal. I guess all laptop batteries die after some time. Other then that, it's working very well.

i had this computer for 17 days before it completely died. took it back to best buy to get another one and didn't have any available. very disappointed with hp

I have had this computer for over two years and it still works like it did the day I purchased it! Most computers I have purchased in the past tend to slow down dramatically over time, but not this! Love it!

This has been a great computer. The best one I have purchased so far. It has tablet mode, easy to use, and moves at a fast speed. I would highly recommend this one.

I am Linux user and I couldn't install the Linux OS in dual boot with Windows in the HP laptop. I discovered that HP encrypts the partitions of the HD in order to hinder Linux users for installing their preferred OS. So I gave it back to the Best Buy Store and changed it for an Asus N550JK laptop. Now I did what I wanted and it works perfectly. I like to have control over my computer and its software.

I wanted a modern and fast 15"-17" laptop to replace an existing 17" desknote unit that was showing its age. Knowing Windows 10 is coming late 2015, I also had to have touchscreen interface and high resolution screen. This unit seems to cover every single requirement I had with the added bonus of being the folding tablet mode when I wanted. Overall, this unit is constructed well for a consumer device in this price-point. I wouldn't say its very portable and would not get for someone that's carrying it from home to work or school every day, but for around the house moving between the kitchen table, living room, to bedroom I think it would be just fine. Performance wise, it is pretty fast once booted up. Because its a traditional HDD, the boot times are 30+ seconds from cold boot into Windows but that's only happening maybe once a day. Use the "Sleep" feature to hibernate it and the wake up time is <5 seconds. The HDD is very large (1TB size) and performs well enough but it is rather loud, both spinning noise and clicking noises when accessing/launching apps. Guess I've gotten used to the silent SSD in my work laptop. Upgrades will require an expert to attempt them. I've already bumped the RAM memory to the max amount, a faster 16GB kit, but to get to the memory slots requires completely disassembling the base unit. 19 screws, 6 ribbon cables, disconnecting the battery connector, and unmounting the motherboard as the slots are on the bottom side of the board.... WHEW!!! NOT for the faint of heart! HDD could have been swapped at that time too for a SSD but I will probably do that later once Windows 10 ships and I decide to upgrade OS. Overall, I'm pretty thrilled with how fast this unit is... CPU intensive stuff like ripping movies (Handbrake, converting movies, etc.) all happen FAST with minimal fan noise and the screen resolution is just awesome. Touchscreen is sensitive enough to allow fast swiping and navigation. The touch mouse is overly sensitive... you have to type with your wrists raised up off the rest or you accidentally move your mouse.... just takes a little getting used to. Wish I could disable the touchpad and use a BT mouse and touchscreen for all navigation. Overall for the money... I think this unit is a great balance of performance, size, capability, mobility, and functionality. (I don't know about battery life... I'm almost always plugged in to AC.)
