Set up was simple and everything worked perfect. The hpsmart software download did not load properly. I just used the recommended total package software. Watch Youtube video on set up. Do all set up from printer as far as linking to wifi and cartridge install, alignment, etc. eliminates glitches. quality is good on all printing. The instant ink program is great and saves money.

Printer is fast and easy to set up. I love that I can print straight from my phone.

The printer seems to do well with both color and black and white. The color pictures have higher quality than I expected (which is very nice), although it takes a long time (very long) for the printer to produce anything in color. The black and white pages are much faster, and overall, the printer is nice and quiet. I also like the wifi capabilities (as I can now print from my laptop). All in all, we're pleased with it so far!

Great printer for the money. Set up was easy and when it was determined that one of the ink cartridges shipped with the printer was defective, HP overnighted a new one to me. Can't ask for better service. I would prefer to be able to scan to the computer from the front panel instead of the software, like I could do with my previous HP printer, but it's not a deal breaker, especially considering the price.

I bought this printer to provide necessary but limited printing at a reasonable price. Prior reviews I read made this sound like a solid choice. The idea of printing wirelessly was important, as was easy setup. I easily got this up and running with a new laptop, my iPad, and my Samsung phone. Print quality is excellent and print speed very fast. I’m very happy to recommend this printer to others!

Good printer . Wireless set up fine with Windows and Chromebook laptops. Instant ink wouldn't set up and link. Tried for an hour. Finally had to force the laptop to shut down to close the window. Hassle. Instant ink card said lowest # of copies a month was 50 for $2.99 so I bought extra ink since I do less than 15 . Open printer box and the card says free for up to 15 copies. Hmmm. Anyway, the printer works fine

It's too early for a review because all the printers we buy have been breaking down after one year. So far, this printer has been a good one. It was easy to set up, it's been easy to print from any device. I usually have a difficult time printing from my other devices on past printers. I like it so far, we will see how things are down the road.

The HP Envy 5055 is a great printer for light to moderate use. First the setup is very easy for anone. You can load the full software suite at hp.123.com. I didn't sigh up for the HP Instant Ink subscription. The amount of printing done at home is minimal. Overall a great print but not for photo printing. Recommended to anyone needing a printer for light to moderate home printing.
