My old printer stopped working and a new one was needed. I found out that a preplacement was on sale and that a rebate for recycling was available. I purchased the replacement, plugged it in and it has worked perfectly ever since.

Always had HP printers until I decided to try an Epson the last time. The Epson kept smearing black ink all over my pages. Finally decided to go back to HP. Never experienced problems like that with any HP I have owned. This works great!

Mighty little printer with some great capabilities for the price. Perfect for the college dorm room and those papers being written at 4am the morning before they're due. Daughter hasn't complained yet...of course, the ink is where they get you, so definitely shop around.

I've never had a problem with this printer. The only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is I have problems with getting it to due some of the things I know it can do. The things rarely needed are hard to navigate and no instruction

I bought this as a printer for my classroom. The only problem is it doesn't connect well to school Wifi systems or others that require a login name and password. Thankfully this is able to have a direct line to my computer with a cable. No problems other than the connection.

WE needed and new printer to replace original printer that came with computer. Old one broke. Only problem was going on line to install-manufacture should include cd disc, not go to their site. Took one hour-cd disc takes 3 minutes.

We were looking for a small low volume ink jet printer to supplement our laser printer. This the bill perfectly. Wifi connection allows placement anywhere. Availability of the HP ink plan is a bonus as I shouldn't ever have to buy in!

My old printer died and I needed a new one ASAP. I met with a good salesperson, and he helped me figure out what to buy. Even with my limited technical expertise, I was able to install it and interface it to my computer. It is working great for me!

This is really nice and easy to use. it does use a lot of ink but if you sing up for the monthly ink thing, its worth it. im only paying 4.99 a month for that, but its worth it if you print more them 20 print a month.

Bought this for my 88 year old Aunt to connect to her computer. Set up instructions are all geared to connecting to a smart phone. Took some research, but is great once it was connected by wire to her computer.

Good printer. Has option for black ink only. The purchaser has the option of not enrolling in the HP ink replacement program so if you don't print much you can save yourself some money and just buy ink as needed.

We wanted the basic printer and this one fills our needs. We did not want the bottom of the price range but also not over the top so this was what we felt would meet our needs, and we are very pleased with the printer.

OUR HP ENVY 5055 IS EVERYTHING WE COULD ASK FOR IN A PRINTER. EASE OF OPERATION, QUALITY PRINTING, PICTURES COME OUT AMAZING AND PRINTING STARTS WHEN WE HIT "PRINT". WE DO NOT HAVE TO HIT ANY BUTTONS TO START THE PRINTER. VERY PLEASED!!!

We are enjoying this printer. I can print from any room in my house from my phone! Also prints front and back and the extra printer paper is hidden in a drawer instead of out in the open. Shipping was super quick!

Mannnnnnn!!!! This printer is a lifesaver. We needed a printer at the last minute due to workIng from home (covid-19). This printer prints better than my job printer and I can easily print from my iPhone. Love it!

When it works it's great. Ink dries out too fast. If I leave the printer on too long it errors and has to be restarted. I'd only recommend this if you print multiple times a week.

Not enough instructions for installation. Best for wireless users but we wanted it for printing from a desktop computer. It worked initially but now I can't print from my e-mail. Am very disappointed. The Canon printer I had before was much better quality and had an instruction booklet that gave loads of info and even had hints for finding and correcting problems. Our mistake for not speaking with a Best Buy associate to get help. We just saw the ad and went to the store and made the purchase. What drove our choice was the price of both the printer and the printer ink.

This printer does a decent job of printing and scanning but it goes through black ink very fast. Several times the cartridges have run dry well before they should have.

We purchased this printer on sale to replace a Canon that we were running into issues with. It’s been a great no-nonsense printer that still has a bunch of feature. The main selling point was the Instant Ink subscription feature.

so far I like how the printer works, once I get it working. I keep needing to get into the settings to make the printer work and it takes quite a while to make it print. I am hoping its not set up quite right and not the printer itself. Have not tried a picture yet
