Broke in less than 3 months! PAPER JAMS GALORE

I bought this as a cheap printer to have around to be able to print tickets etc. for friends for events and personal use. For $50 back then, I thought it was an excellent buy.... But man was I wrong! It got a paper jam one day... and no matter how many times I fixed it, it kept jamming up, and not printing, crinkling up the paper etc.... This was 3 months already, and didn't bother with the warranty for this cheap junk... If it's cheap or on sale... There's always a reason I suppose. It doesn't always mean its defective or junk, there can be many reasons for the price decrease, but I genuinely believe this was because it was junk.. So heed my warning or suffer from future paper jams! AND for those who may think, oh... I'll barely use it, It'll be ok.... NO. I barely used it too! Maybe once every week or two I used it.... and the third month of VERY light use.... Jammed for life. Threw it out in the trash after going Office Space on it.... I literally smashed it up because....well..because junk like this deserves it.

In the age of plug and play and user simplicity, this does not meet that standard. Yes, it works. Most of the time. The network use seems to be sporadic.

Bought this for my husband to use for his home office. It was easy to set up. But when he started printing he realized that it doesn’t print certain letters. It doesn’t print N, P, b, p. With his work, it’s not a big deal, but we can’t really use it for anything other than scanning and photocopying.

Good budget home printer for papers and documents, but not so good when it comes to photo printing, the inks take forever to dry and the quality of the photo is lacking.

Printer lacks heft, seems delicate. Envelope feeder tray is awkward and takes too much time when doing a dozen letters - the paper has to be removed, the sizer re-sized for the envelope, insert the envelope, then start all over again with the next letter. Have 2 other similarly priced printers which seem more substantial and are easier to use.

This piece of junk takes about 30 minutes to set up then, it takes about 30 minutes on your computer. After all that, they try to sell you into a ink plan. Once you been to skip that step, it still won't print. Despite my many attempts and then looking everything up wirelessly, still nothing printing. It would sit in my queue, but nothing would happen. I've set many printers up since I 1992. I've done this well, for many years with few issues. This piece of garbage refused to work. We returned it the next day after failing to meet it's actual purpose.

I purchased the printer and tried to install it myself. There were zero instructions on connecting the printer cable to the PC. I had Geek Squad come out to connect the printer. I had to wait a while before the technician was available which was frustrating. Once he came out he installed the cable properly and tested the printer and gave me useful instructions. I had it in the right port but did not plug it in correctly. (See comment about instructions)

    Ink always prints green

This worked OK at first now no matter what I do, brand new black cartridge only prints clear once or twice. Its either the cartidges or the printer, and its really annoying. Looks green after that. Also very slow and wastes a ton of ink by trying to print the alignment sheet every time, just stop wasting ink. Will print the same thing 5 times if you are not careful, get what you pay for. And the ink does not last long.

The printer is great, but the touch screen is not good at all. I’ve had to cut the printer on and off to touch the screen. That’s upsetting.

Literally crashes all the time. It says error code and won’t print and goes offline and starts blink between white and blue screen. Good thing I bought the warranty twice. I will be returning it again this weekend to buy a bigger more expensive printer. I’ll jsut pay the difference. Pay $20-30 more for a better one. This is not worth it and doesn’t even have HP print. Sometimes touch screen won’t even work!

      Hey Naomi,

I'm really sorry that the printer didn't deliver a more reliable and seamless experience in the time you've had it. This is incredibly disappointing to hear, especially since we always hold ourselves to a much higher standard of quality. It's unfortunate to hear that you're in the process of returning the printer, but I do hope that the process is as smooth as can be.

      Hi Makayla,

I'm incredibly sorry about this offline error message you kept receiving. This is far from the customer experience that we strive to provide, and I regret that we missed the mark. While it's unfortunate that you had to return the printer, I hope that the process was easy.

I also hope that you'll consider allowing us another opportunity to make things right in the future. We would be grateful for a chance to provide you with the quality experience that you deserve.
