Posted .Hey Nick,
I'm really glad to hear that you find the printer easy to use! I can definitely understand your preference for a hardwired connection as well, so I'd like to help you get that situated.
While this printer is indeed wireless, you can also change the connection type to USB per your preference. For steps on how to do so, you can visit page 44 of your printer's user guide at the following link: hp.com/ctg/Manual/c05643392
If there's anything else that we can help you with, please don't hesitate to reach out! You can get in touch anytime via your preferred method at this link: hp.com/contactHP

Junk. Poor customer service.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I never could get it to scan to my computer. Then after three weeks it stopped connecting to my computer. .....Little tiny interactive screen, information was vague... Entering a password was near impossible.........poor instructions......... I spent lots of time LOTS! trying to get it to work.....checked out computer, used tech support from my internet provider...... It only cost $65 but the time wasted and the disruption to my home based business cost a lot more. ........No live customer support!. .I WAS FURIOUS! .......Their FAQ's and virtual assistance were useless.!.... ....

Printer Balky
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased printer to connect to an HP Envy Laptop - should have been a snap with same vendor and same series. After a couple weeks, wireless stopped finding the wifi network. HP customer support has not been user friendly requiring multiple calls to get to HP engineering who initially did not call back in either or the promised timeframes. Subsequently they have reached out and now have a follow up call scheduled for the future. Perhaps all will be well in the end.

Kinda sucks
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this printer in hopes that it would do what I need for printing papers for school. It absolutely DOES NOT connect to my laptop (I have a MacBook air). I have to remove the printer and readd it every single time I want to print something. Half of the time I'd rather just chuck the printer out of the window then deal with it. I can't even print in color because the printer doesn't recognize that it has ink. This printer sucks.

OK printer for an inkjet
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I would never buy an inkjet again. Switched to a laser and will never go back. inkjet cartridges dry out without use. While you pay more for a color laser, the quality is so much better! the toner lasts forever and the cost per page is ultimately lower even if you don't print much. Overall though, this printer is OK. It was hard to set up with an older an iPad, but I blame apple for that one.

You’ll pay more for the ink cartridges
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Complete POS. I’ve had this for about a 1 1/2 years and don’t use it much. That being said I’ve gone through at least 5 black ink cartridges and have never got more than 15 copies from a cartridge. It does work nice for about the first 5 copies though. Buy something else.

Poor WiFi connection
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is an ok printer, copier for the price but WiFi setup is not easy, requires downloading an app. It loses connection between uses.

Not so great
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this printer because the salesman said it printed vibrant colors. That was not true. In fact if I could I’d return it

Really disappointed.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had this for 2 weeks and still having issues with set up on this printer. No actual tech people to speak to. All virtual help with links to download, useless. Signed up for HPs ink renewal, using Bluetooth for copying and works 50 percent of the time. Mechanically this printer works great. Programming wise is nothing but irritating. I think the main problem comes from the ink renewal program, constantly tracking what you do.

Posted .Hi there,
I'm incredibly sorry that your experience with the printer so far has been less than easy. I fully understand how inconvenient these setup issues are and it's so disappointing to hear that our online support wasn't more helpful. I assure you this was far from our intention, so I hope that you'll allow us an opportunity to resolve this person-to-person.
Although the first couple of attempts were unsuccessful, we would be more than grateful for another chance to work through this with you. You can give us a call at +1 800-474-6836 any day between the hours of 8 am - 9 pm ET. To speed up the process a bit, I recommend gathering this information:
- Model number
- Serial number
- Your location
- Your case number (from prior contact with support)
We look forward to making this right and again, my sincerest apologies.

Good enough

Slow printing & scanning
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The only complaint that I have is that it's super slow. It takes long to print 1 page and much slower to scan a page. When scanning the page margins come out looking as if the margins are out of place. Due to the pandemic and the stay at home orders, I was unable to go back out and exchange it. I'm stuck with this printer.

Couldn't ever get to work correctly
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was enthusiastic about many of the printer features. Had a difficult time getting the printer to initially set up to my wireless. After about a half dozen tries did get it. However, could not get the on line software that enables the user to access many features. Could get no help from the HP website. Now at least once every other day get an "error message". Had no luck trying to overcome that. I kept it only because it can print basics from the internet.

Posted .Hey there,
I'm so sorry to hear that you've encountered some difficulties with wireless setup and gaining access to the printer's full software. I can imagine how disappointing this must be, especially since you were looking forward to using all of its features. With that said, let's see if I can help and provide you with the resources you need.
First things first, the full feature software for your printer can be downloaded here: 123.hp.com/us/en/devices/envy5055
As far as the error message goes, I'm not quite sure what the root cause might be, so I highly recommend getting in touch with us for support. We would be more than happy to help you get your printer running as it should be. You can reach out to us via your preferred method at this link: hp.com/contactHP

Posted .Hey there,
I'm so sorry that the printer has been displaying these confusing 'Out of Paper' messages! This is very disappointing to hear, especially since we always aim to provide a much more reliable experience overall. To that end, I'd really like to help fix this, so let's give these suggestions a try.
For this issue of the printer not detecting a full paper tray, I recommend following the suggested steps in this document: support.hp.com/us-en/document/c05578160
