The Paper Jam Error Machine AQ
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking forward to using this printer. The price was right with all the features I needed. Unfortunately, this printer was a dud and I never had a chance to use it on a regular basis. The majority of my time was looking for mysterious paper jams that did exist. I tried to fix the problem HP guidelines, but it was a waste of time.

Not overly happy with product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s very slow, and stops sometimes while printing to let the ink dry. It also holds very little amount of paper. Uses a lot of ink.

Posted .Hi Carol,
I'm so sorry that the process for connecting the printer has been less than seamless. While it's great that you were able to receive some help from our support team, it's disappointing to hear that the printer still won't connect. I understand how inconvenient this must be to everyday use, so I'd really like to see how else I can help.
First, I recommend trying one of the following options for a more seamless wireless setup:
- Download and use the HP Smart app from either a mobile device or computer within the first 2 hours of powering on the printer
- Download HP Easy Start for a step-by-step wireless walkthrough: 123.hp.com/us/en/devices/envy5055
- Download and run through the printer's full software package: support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/model/14095768
Another helpful resource is this wireless troubleshooter: hp.dezide.com/ts/start.jsp?guide=Printer_Does_Not_Maintain_Wireless_Connection.net
If the issue persists, I hope you'll consider reaching out to us for support one more time. We would be more than happy to either troubleshoot further or arrange for a replacement under warranty. You can give us a call at +1 800-474-6836 between the hours of 8 am - 9 pm ET. To expedite the process, you can gather these beforehand:
- Model number
- Serial number
- Your location
- Your case number (from prior contact with support)
I hope this helps and again, I apologize for these complications.

Garbage and a waste of money.
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It worked great! For about 4 months... I barely used this printer. I think I only put 20 papers through it (and that's a stretch) before it just stopped printing properly. I tried factory resetting, cleaning the cartridges, re-aligning, nothing worked. It's going in the garbage.

Light use and already broken
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this printer in Dec 2019 and as of March 2020, it's already died and according to HP, I print 17 pages a month!! And since it's out of warranty, I can't get support to try to repair it. Not only is it a waste of money, it's horrible for the environment. What am I supposed to do HP? Buy a new printer every year? Is that the strategy? Shame on you.

Wireless printers are problems

A solid, basic all-in-one printer.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have to start by complimenting HP on their packaging. When the shipper dropped the product off it looked like it had been kicked all of the way from the factory to my front door! Amazingly, when I opened what remained of the box everything inside was intact and the printer fired up and operated with no problems. Like most printers in this class this is a pretty basic device. It is intended for wireless operation. There is a USB port on the back but you will really want to use the app available for your cellphone or tablet to do the configuration, setup and calibration. The unit includes a simple flat bed scanner on the top and it works fine. Not the fastest scanner around but more than adequate for casual use and the scanning quality is good. The unit uses only two cartridges - one black and one multi-color. Installing the cartridges is quick and easy although the mechanism feels a little fragile. Print quality and speed are good. The paper tray is extremely small and the catch mechanism is simply a plastic arm that pivots out from the body. Now the aggravations - the drivers you will need must be downloaded from HP's site and can be somewhat difficult to find IF you elect NOT to subscribe to HP's ink-on-demand program. Be prepared to be hounded to death about this as you proceed. Be patient - it is possible to get everything working without having to sign up but it will take you some time. All-in-all, a decent printer in an increasingly crowded class of budget devices.

HP Fails
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.HP disappointed me with this printer. The ink cartridges do not register even though they are full. It will not allow you to print with one cartridge in just black/white either. This forces you to keep buying and wasting color cartridges you don't need.

Never by HP again
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I would not buy another HP printer. I took this one out of the box and set it up. The cartage was sealed. When I put the cartridge in, it said it was connected to another printer and I would have to buy a new cartridge. I moved over to Epson printers and am a little happier.

Bad experience
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This printer has given so much trouble with printing, low on ink, printing errors, and so many more things. I completely hate it! Unfortunately I did not get a warranty on it because usually my HP Envy products work just fine. This one just fails in all ways. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT!
