I can't get it to print whenever I want to.

My granddaughter came over and she tried and could not get it to work. It is so frustrating. I wanted to buy anther type and sorry I did not. This wireless is for the birds!

Never buy another HP printer!!

Was assurred by salesperson that no internet connection would be required to set the printer up. Wrong!! Had to drive over 50 miles to connect to internet to download software, and the printer never could scan to my USB connected computer. I am finished with HP and Best Buy!

I'd also like to clarify something about the noisiness. While your printer is powered up, it makes sure that the nozzles are regularly cleared, which can be noisy, especially if the printer is on a hard surface. One thing you try to stifle this a bit is placing the printer on a padded surface to muffle the vibrations.
Then, I have a few suggestions for lowering overall ink consumption. To start, I recommend using the printer's draft mode, as this can often improve ink usage. There is a ? That is illuminated and it won't let me do anything. I have downloaded the scanning app and it's still useless.

Less than a year

Terrible.

Every other page it jams up. That’s not even the worst part, towards the end of the print page it sputters and prints crooked or smudges the text. Completely dissatisfied and disappointed.

It does not scan. It does not handle multiple copies. Poor choice on my part. I plan to dispose of it and replace early in 2019.

Poor quility

The HP 5000 is not a good printer I just now saw that It is just over a year old. Bought a new one today 6/24/2021 at Best Buy the old one I bought in March of 2020.

great little printer for the price

Flatbed scanner and printer, what more do you need at this price level? Setup was very easy, turn it on and goto 123.hp.com and away you go. Took me maybe 10 minutes. HP really has figured out printer setup. This printer supports instant ink, which is a subscription service for ink based on how much you print per month. This printer supports their new FREE service. If you print 15 pages or less per month then you get ink for free, for life. This is great if you are a light printer. Otherwise price starts at 2.99 per month on up. While this does print photos, there is no dedicated photo paper tray, so you will be swapping paper around when you want to print photos. No big deal as this is not labeled as photo printer anyway. Scanner has a good resolution, albeit a bit slow. No document feeder, so if you want to do heavy scanning this is not the printer for you. The built in screen is quite bad. It is monochrome, possibly from an original game boy. While you don't need to do much on the built in screen in self, it looks quite bad when it is on. Especially when compared to higher end HP printers. Not a deal breaker, its just not pretty. Overall, this is a great little printer for the price and a light printer. Small footprint so it doesn't take much desk space. Prints quickly.

Good Little Office Assistant

Setup was super easy from my iPhone, I had no problems with the inital setup and adding the device to my WiFi network nor have I had any paper feeding or jam issues. If your printing needs are 100-400 pages a month or less this will be a great little printer for your home or office. This HP ENVY all-in-one printer works with letter, legal, 4 x 6 in., 5 x 7 in, 8 x 10 in., and No. 10 envelopes. Control your printer with a tap and swipe – 2.2-in. (5.58 cm) capacitive touchscreen hi-res monochrome LCD graphics. And at this price you would be hard pressed to find a better 3 in one!

Error message from start
