Major Connection Issues with my Mac

It would not stay connected. I had to re-install the software multiple times and that did not fix the issue. Never been more frustrated with a printer. Went back to the store and bought a Canon.

Do NOT buy if you use a Mac

Does not scan if connected via USB (required in my daughter's dorm). Does not auto duplex. Reinforced my original idea that HP printers don't work for Macs.

stopped printing in black and white

Went back a month later to print out some forms and it's no longer printing in black. When I select copy and print in black and white, just gives me a blank page. This is the second time this year with a brand new HP product. They tend to fail right when you need them the most.

printed VERY slowly

Ink was too expensive for the amount of printing that I had to get done. Took printer back to Best Buy and purchased another Hewlitt Packard printer.

Excellent Printer

Setup is a breeze. Unpack, plug in, then follow the prompts. It will have you install an app to your phone/tablet that will guide you through the rest of the process. Once setup, operation is quiet and print quality is sharp and colors are vivid. For me, the biggest selling point was the seamless operation with my Pixelbook and its Chrome OS.

Dead in 28 days

After that it would not power on. Best Buy did not honor our return because they were out of stock. Had to spend hours on the phone with HP and am still waiting for my replacement.

Waste of money

Bad Printer!!

Following that, you might consider using our specially formulated ColorLok paper. It provides a faster drying time and, more importantly, the special surface of the paper fixes ink onto the sheet, which would prevent any smudges.

Unhappy overall

You have to hold the power button there times for about 20seconds each before it will shut down. Always says it’s offline when I go to print when it’s really online. Been a very frustrating experience to say the least as well as an inconvenience.

Then, I have a few suggestions for lowering overall ink consumption. To start, I recommend using the printer's draft mode, as this can often improve ink usage. Following that, you could also set the printer to print black and white only. If you still find you're using quite a bit, Instant Ink is another option to consider. Many customers like our available plans, as they're based on how many pages you print monthly. Cheap does not mean sufficient

The ink smears!! Next time, (and as everyone knows how quickly these throw away printers go bad), I will be sure to buy a better model.

But the unit just did not hold up well to heavy use and was already irretrievably broken within two weeks. If you need something to carry a substantial workload, this is not what you want.

Was so disappointed because it prints a sheet that took 5 minutes to finish printing. So we just returned and bought the same one that I have which is slim and prints fast.
