Small size, easy to use

The scanner was also easy to use and the HP setup process was fairly painless (on my Mac). Tested the wireless printing function once it was setup and it worked without issues. So far very happy.

Inexpensive but eats through ink

I already have an HP 8600 Office Jet for my home office, so I thought this would be a nice printer for family homework, etc. and would not require the user to haul up to my 3rd floor office. Setup was very easy and all through my smartphone. Performance is very quick and there is also a "quiet" mode which doesn't print as fast, but much more quiet. I suppose it would be a nice feature if you had a sleeping college roommate. All the menus are intuitive and if you don't understand they instuructions, almost every prompt has a provided video - very user friendly. Only downside: the cartridges are very small and as a result, you don't get many print outs per cartridge before you have to replace. The black ink was replaced within 3 months of occasional use. Replacement cost is about $25 a cartridge, which isn't terrible. There also an XL version of the cartridge which I have yet to purchase, but supposedly gives longer life.

Awesome printer!

Some complicated and some not hard to use at all. This one seemed basic yet very easy to use and fast printing! However, I did run out of black ink faster then normal. The color in is combined in one cartridge. So I am wondering how long color will last.
