    I bought this printer to replace an HP 5460 that had paper feed issues. I had an instant ink account with that printer, and figure that I could replace it with another HP printer that shared the same cartridge type and just switch the instant ink account over. That's the theory, in practice an absolute headache and an age on customer support. After an hour on the phone, I still did not manage it. I guess the point of this review is that 1) not my fault the 5640 broke such that I had to replace is and then 2) I regret not just abandoning HP as the transition to keep instant ink was not worth the hassle. The printer is really OK, but one has to consider the associated services that include cost of ink, or indeed available ink subscription services. As these are poor, I cannot recommend this printer (or HP).
