Weak hinges, caused crack and separated back.

The only problem I have is that the hinges broke and cracked my screen at the lower bottom upon closing it. The touch screen goes crazy, making it useless to use now. I used it for my studies. I am upset now that I have to go and purchase another laptop when this one was fine until the hinges failed. I read that this seems to be a common problem with these laptops. I hope HP sees this to be a problem and fix it. This is a major problem when paying high prices for something that you expect to last and work!!
