They particularly appreciate the touch screen, praising its convenience and ease of use. The laptop's lightweight design and ample storage space are also well-received. HP should include a power charger that can keep up with the computer at full use. It is ridiculous to have to go buy an cord from another manufacturer to power a new computer sufficiently.

if you just use this as a laptop its a great device, but tablet mode is hard on you as the device is a bit heavy and has sharp edges and having the keyboard exposed underneath is weird and cumbersome as I'm scared to hold it underneath

The quality of writing on the touchscreen is poor. The mouse is very touchy and makes it frustrating to use with random screens popping up and accidentally closing browser screens.

    Excellent Laptop

Works great, does everything it's advertised to do. No regrets on the choice. This is my first Win10, having just moved from Win7. It's actually not too bad, has some nice features, and of course 'touch screen' support turns out to be really handy now that most of us have learned 'that' by using smartphones & tablets. This computer gives the best of both worlds(laptop & tablet). Before purchase, I envisioned some day swapping out the HD for an SSD....but I am pleasantly surprised at how fast it boots up/wakes up with the 7200rpm drive that it comes with. Might not need an SSD after all!! Just a couple of gripes...it has a C-USB. I have no idea what use that is, I'd rather it had a third USB3.0 or even 2.0. Next, the NumLock has NO indicator, and, it does not default to 'on' upon boot up, at least NOT until AFTER you enter your WIN password. Then you can configure it to default on (thru the settings choices)...but still, NO LED to show it is. Foolish on HP's part (HP..are you reading this??) to not have that low cost but useful indicator. In all other respects...I love it. BUT...don't pay full price, it always come on sale..$50 to $150 off the $850 list.

No complaints with computer after 2 weeks although have had issues with tracking pad and screen with prior models. Also the face recognition software seems temperamental. Not sure if its software or hardware issue.

was looking for new laptop, this met my requirements. Do not like the fact they no longer have replaceable batteries if battery goes bad & no CD player (must be bought separate)

The only issue I have is with the on button being so small I don't always get it on right and then it takes awhile to get it turned on

I had to get a new laptop to replace the one I just bought not even a year ago from best buy which was a hp. I am hoping this one lasts longer than the first one.

Very sleek looking and easy setup. 2 cons: 1. with no extra space left of the keyboard it makes it hard to keep proper hand position when typing. 2. Runs slow

The mouse is terrible. I ended up connecting a wire mouse to avoid the problem. Also it heats up and gets hot on my lap.

For the most part this is a great computer, but dare not bump it or open wrong then you have a whole mess on your hands. The silver hinges is a known problem than could destroy the frame and screen. In order to get repaired its the cost of the computer, so please be advised to get the warranty. I had to go through my credit card company for my warranty but please believe it wasn't without a hassle.

Had to return 1st one within several days Blue screen. Had health issues so was almost a month before I could start setting the 2nd one, another blue screen, system restore failed. reinstalled Windows. Afraid to proceed, guess I will have to buy Geek support to try and see if it fails on them. After that it is going back to HP and hope I will be able to get another one.

I purchased this laptop for my wife 2 months ago, which during the time she has used maybe 3 or 4 times a week. The computer was working fine. It hasn't been dropped, bumped, or been subjected to heavy breathing. Out of the blue, the computer will no longer go into laptop mode, it only works as a touch screen tablet. I hit up HP online support who asked if I tried the button that switches between tablet and PC mode... WOW, thanks for the tip! but yes, I tried "the button". their next tip? take it in for service... no idea if I have the receipt or how long the warranty is. but do a search and you'll find I'm not the only one that had this same issue.

It costs a bit more than what you get. I would probably stick with a regular laptop in the future.
