waste of money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this laptop with the point of view , it must be fast enough with 16 Gb memory and i-7 Processor but it's really Garbage. it can not perform multi-tasking , when you open more browsers it freezes and not only this if you complain to HP , it sounds you are talking to Scammers , , they ask you to pay for repair / fixing and you are not sure they are real HP agents or not . In short my LOSS must be your experience.

Envy
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The computer is okay, but very disappointed that there is not a CD Rom on the computer, so this has but me in a bind especially when I need to play a CD or DVD for work

Not so great
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's thin but that's about all I can say about it. I expected it to be much lighter. Really wish it "did something special" or had a gimmick or that it had a Bluray drive

Had to return my laptop. It was defective.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ok. I had to return it for another. Geek squad deemed the first one defective after three trips back to the store. A defective touchpad button. New laptop works great.

Great laptop with room to upgrade
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After 7 years with my previous 17" HP laptop, used mostly for business purposes (MS Office, QuickBooks, web surfing, etc.) I didn't take the task of choosing a new PC lightly, because I knew it would be with me a long time. Because I keep computers around so long, I like to start off with something that is best-in-class in terms of specs, with room to grow to keep up with the times. This meant that I wanted the latest Intel Core i7 processor, and lots of memory, which this machine has. I also wanted something light enough to easily tote while traveling, and wanted to try the 2 in 1 form factor. Well, this laptop checks all the specs boxes, and after the first several weeks of use I'm very pleased with my purchase. Rather than wait to upgrade, I have made several changes right away, and they made a good thing even better. I began with a 500 GB Samsung EVO 960 M.2 SSD to replace the included 1 TB HDD. I used the HP backup utility to copy the original installation setup to USB memory stick, and once the new SSD was installed (neither the laptop nor the SSD come with the needed mounting screw, which was a pain to find locally) and the HDD disconnected it was easy to boot to the USB memory and from there restore the PC to the as-purchased state in terms of software. It now takes <10 seconds to fully boot up even with lots of software loaded. I then swapped the original HDD with the 2 TB data drive in the old PC which contained all my data. The net result is a gorgeous, thin, convertible laptop that screams with the latest processor, lots of memory, a SSD, and huge data drive for a little over $1000. It made great sense for me and my business. The only downsides are, as others have noted, the fan noise is a bit more pronounced than I'd like (I've yet to play with the cooling settings), and there are only 2 traditional USB ports. For the latter issue, I'll be getting a Bluetooth mouse to free up the port currently used by the mouse receiver..

Technically good, but windows 10 is bad..
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Even though it's a brand new laptop, it already froze on me a couple of times right after it was turned on, and the pad/mouse was going crazy and moving by itself.

BAD BATTERY
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Battery didn’t even last a year before it was unable to hold a charge... the point of laptop is not having to have it plugged into outlet 100% of time.

Keys on keyboard
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The keys are silver and so are the letters. It is very hard to see unless you are right on top of the keyboard. .Also the symbols are too small to read.

Great laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great laptop, but Windows 10 is awful. Can't get to most of the files that were written on a external drive on a different computer.

Good laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very nice laptop, my main gripe is Windows 10 on this machine makes you use Edge. The machine gets hung up using Chrome or Firefox.

Had to return to store because of a clicking sound
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was excited to purchase this laptop. However, as soon as I had it setup it started making a clicking noise when I would move the position of the screen. It sounded as if there was a fan or hard drive problem. I returned to the store. They did not have another on in stock. They ordered me another one and it was delivered to my home in 3 days. So far the replacement seems to be noise free.
