Great laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The wife wants a 15 inch laptop with touch screen. This laptop's configuration is top of the line. The screen is very crisp and runs fast. The only con was when first setup, it took a while for the machine to catch up all the windows updates and HP updates.

Best computer I have ever had!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This HP computer is amazing! It is so fast! Fast downloads, browsing, checking email, etc. It is fun to use and a pleasure working on the computer and it converts into a giant Pad computer as well. Great thought and design went into this computer.

Great Laptop!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking at several laptops and I was super interested in an Apple product, but after doing research and comparing the two I choose this HP. I am really satisfied with my choice. It's easy use, fast, and I love how it converts into a tablet.

solid laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.pretty solid performer, screen is great, speed is good, it could probably do without the 10 key, but some folks love that.. 1TB is sweet, but would be awesome if it was SSD.. not that its slow or anything. nothing negative to state at this time.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Days turned into months of searchIng. Finally hit the nail on the head with this one. Everything is at my fingertips.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my 2nd HP envy. Sadly on my first one, the hard drive and motherboard crashed. My daughter and son both have the HP Envy. Keyboard is comfortable and the screen is easy to read. It is the easiest and most comfortable computer I have had.

Fast, powerful computer; loud fan
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good performance; fantastic display. Software runs extremely fast. Microsoft virus software continually brings up reminders "competing" with McAffe - annoying. Fan is loud at times, making me wonder if premature failure is in the future.

Sleek and powerful
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop is smooth to the touch, sleek in design and a powerful workhorse for multiple program usage. The hinges are the only part of the physical structure that seems to be a bit less sturdy than the rest, but overall an excellent laptop.

Excellent Laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Needed a new laptop and this was on sale on Black Friday. Read all the reviews and decided to get this one. It is fast with the I7 processor and 16 gigabytes of RAM. I don't play video games or edit video, so I don't need a separate video card.

Competent computer- but nothing special
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been in the technology business for many years- I've owned probably between 25-30 laptops. Mac was no longer an option, as I went against the norm on my last laptop but I won't make that mistake again. The problem with PC's is there isn't anything special anymore that stands out- this is the one area where Macs grab people... their hardware is nice. I originally bought an HP Omen for the horsepower, not for gaming. It was unusable out of the box. Returned it and looked for anything in stock with lots of RAM and either the high end version of an i5 or any version of the i7's. The high end of an i5 is better than the low end model of an i7 which this computer has... but they had one in stock. The Dell XPS I still have from 5 or 6 years ago is still nicer- HP managed to make an aluminum chassis so cheap it flexes as much, if not more, than the plastic ones for $300 less. The 4K screen is amazing when there's content for it. The B&O audio sounds no different than pretty much any other laptop- huge disappointment there, as I have a B&O stereo and it's amazing. The backlit keyboard is annoying in that the light is brighter coming from under the keys than actually illuminating the letters and numbers. The XPS from half a decade ago is so far better in every way... I'm wishing I looked at XPS this time around. I also think the Spectre series is what I should have done instead of this one. Finally- it crashes. A lot. Being a computer and network troubleshooter with 25 years of experience, I started digging for a root cause. It's intermittent, which makes it more of a challenge. As far as I can tell, it's a hardware issue. Windows locks tight- just freezes, but the only indicators of what the problem is lies with the processor throttling. I changed the maximum processor throttling to 98% instead of 100% and it's been fine since- only one crash. STILL more reliable than the Mac Pro it replaced. So, overall, it's an OK computer. It's fast, although lacking an SSD which would make it amazing. It's almost as nice as it should be, but I also only paid seven fifty for it- so, you have to consider that. I should have paid twice as much to find something that met my expectations. If you look at everything available in this price range, you still might end up with this computer. My suggestion is to look at everything- especially the Spectre 360 series and XPS. I talked to someone who has this exact model and he made the same change to lower processor to 98% and his has been 100% stable. With the processor it has, 2% wont make a difference except in rendering- IF you do that kind of thing. Don't get me wrong- 99% of people who see it think it's amazing... it's mainly because I've had everything up to $5500 professional series laptops over the years. I tend to pick apart everything to be thorough, so the small details that I bring up are only brought up in case you are as picky as I am. The bottom line is that it's a competent machine and at the sub eight hundred price level I doubt you can do better. In hindsight, I should have just paid more and considered a higher end model.

Outstanding performance
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm 100% satisfied with this HP 2-in-1 laptop. It's super easy to set up, sleek, stylish, and an all around good buy. Coming back to the PC world after having a MAC and loving the switch back. Excellent picture and sound quality as well.

Perfect computer for my mom
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this as a Mother's Day present and works perfect for her needs: tablet for games and browsing, laptop for research and excel sheets. A larger screen was helpful for easy viewing and light enough to still use around the house.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was reluctant to upgrade to Windows 10 on my old laptop, but when I got fed up with the issues I was having, I upgraded to the HP Envy.
