Love this laptop, light, great touch screen, good sound system.

This computer, while not as fast as I had expected it to be, meets all of my needs. It functions well both as a computer and as a tablet. It is thin and light, the keyboard is smooth and quiet. We waited until it was on sale to purchase it, because at $979 it would not have been worth it, but at $200 off, it has been a great purchase.

Writing the review on the machine I'm reviewing lol! Powerful, sleek, versatile, fast. So far I'm liking everything about it. If there was one complaint it would be that the battery life is not what I had hoped for but I'm pretty demanding. After a full day use, you will have to plug in. Other than that, I'm very satisfied with the purchase.

My experience with this laptop has surpassed my expectations due to the speed of starting up and the settings included in Microsoft programs that can be installed. The only thing I don't like is the laptop lacks a CD/DVD drive, but it keeps me on track for submitting assignments for grad school. Note: touch screen is extremely beneficial.

replaced my 7-1/2 year old toshiba notebook(celeron processor). Toshiba has been great, but toshiba no longer producing similar laptops. HP works great so far, and i7 processor noticeably faster than celeron. HP was a "spur of the moment" purchase because best buy offered a significant discount. Probably going out of production! anyhow, i overlooked a couple of features that i wanted but didn't get: backlit keyboard, and "num lock" key has no indicator whether on or off. so have to determine on/off by trial and error. already regret overlooking those features. otherwise working great, and i especially like the USB 3.0(2 ea.) and 3c(1 ea.) ports! good, sharp screen colors. great keyboard touch. touchscreen works great. but i am so used to a mouse that i hardly use the touch-pad, but the touch pad works fine when used. noise is minimal--can barely hear it running (normal hearing). heat not a problem.
