I would have replace it with an identical printer but it was out of stock. I went with the M479fdw which produces a slight odor when printing but is not overwhelming and disperses rapidly.

Today, however, I need to contact HP to exercise the 1 year manufactures warranty as the printer just died and will not turn on. Other than that, great printer.

This Printer is 100% Garbage

The last 3 HP printers I have purchased for my office have been garbage. Endless "Error Printing" messages, reset, reboot, reconnect, Error Printing ... over and over. Lines that appear through documents on printing, scanning that is hit or miss. I cannot even say one thing that works without daily frustration. I will never buy another HP printer.

This can be very annoying especially when there is a lot of work you need to do. If HP can fix this issue with the printer I would give it 5+ stars.

When we first got the cartridges they worked great. Black was the first cartridge replaced and that one worked fine. On the second set of color cartridges things started to go south. Our yellow wouldn’t work and then in the second set of cartridges the same thing. I haven’t taken anything to the shop yet because I don’t have the time I guess I’ll have to figure out what’s going on with us. Beware that the ink replacement for this unit is over $400. The printer it’s self does not cost $400. There must be a better way

However, there's an issue between the printer and Windows 10 where the printer goes offline and it's sometimes difficult to get it back online. Can't guarantee it's just the printer. Maybe a Windows 10 issue.

Was unable to get it set up to scan from machine to user's pc and to email. Also, one of four users is unable to print graphics, it appears to be a driver issue.
