Not up to HP's normal standards. If you just want a copier it is great. Wireless connection is unreliable, earn using the wire I found it difficult to send documents to the printer. I opted on taking it back and getting a more expensive HP laser printer.

Returned to store and had "Geek Squad" (GS) technician attempt to link printer with Chromebook; same result, computer could not find printer. GS technician brought a new printer (off the shelf, in a sealed box) to the counter and that printer failed also. At that point I asked for (and received) full credit returned to my credit card. On a positive note, the GS technical, salesperson and associate at the return desk could not have been more helpful and understanding. I give your employees FIVE STARS!

WiFi was required to install the software to run the printer, but my WiFi at home was too fast for the printer. And I couldn't install the software with a physical connection. The fact that you cannot install the software necessary to run the machine with a physical connection is ridiculous. This printer was useless and I had to return it.

However the paper loading is annoying and the toner cartridge only prints 500 pages before it runs out. At $50 per cartridge, the low price for the printer is outweighed by frequent toner purchases

I’m sorry to hear that the printer wasn’t what you expected in terms of toner usage and paper loading. This is far from the economical and reliable experience that we aim for with our customers so I can imagine how disappointing it's been. I'd love to get your printer working optimally for you though, so let's see what suggestions I can provide.
First, I do want to mention that the page yields advertised are just an estimate and vary on the density of the prints. With that said, there are some other tips you might try for lowering toner consumption.
As far as curbing excessive toner usage goes, I have a couple of tips for you. One thing you can do is begin to print and black and white more often when possible. Printing at lower resolutions by reducing the DPI will also use less toner, and with that, you'll also typically print much faster too.
