Q: How expensive are the laser cartridges, and how often do they need replacement?
A: The HP 44A toners cost about $49 and will print approximately 1,000 pages.
Q: Since this is a black & white printer, does it scan in color?
A: Yes, it will scan color, but it will not copy color.
A: It can be wirelessly set-up. Just remember that both your phone or computer/laptop/Chromebook must be on the same WiFi network. You'll need to push the WPS button on your router to get it to recognize your printer.
Q: Does it print double sided?
A: You'll have to do it manually. This does not support double-sided/duplex printing. It doesn't even have a manual duplex printing guide.
Q: Can I use this printer as a basic copier? If so, would I copy one page at a time?
A: Yes, one at a time. I love this printer, though. I bought it to replace an inkjet and a laser printer, and it works perfectly.
A: You would need a model with an Automatic Document Feeder, this model only has a flatbed scanner so you could only scan one page at a time.

A: Does not use ink at all but does use toner. The printer comes with a starter supply of toner, enough for about 100 pages , I believe , though not sure of exact number.
