Great printer with many functions and is easy to set up. Wish the ink wasn't so expensive.

Good color MFP. We have not had any issues with this MFP. Scanning is pretty fast and the quality of the print is good. We are only using it for business, not high-end printing.

Bought this to replace our M477, which lasted a good 5 years of heavy use. I hope this is just as durable, and so far, so good. The main upgrade I get is automatic duplex printing, which I enjoy and make use of (saves paper!). I do miss the pull-out "Tray 1" feature of the M477, which allowed me to add a stack of paper for printing when I didn't want to use the plain white paper stored in "Tray 2." With the M283, you can only feed one sheet at a time into "Tray 1," but of course it still allows for a stack of paper in the main "Tray 2."

Had higher hopes considering it was a laser printer. Double sided printing has to be manually fed. Has trouble staying connected, have to reconnect it at least once a month. But when it does print works just fine, prints very fast, but would not buy again. As a teacher need definitely did not live up tot he price. Have my old HP printer still as well as a back up when this one doesn’t work.

The quality of the printing is most excellent, particularly the color...very faithful reproduction. The document feeder is easy to use for scanning, copying. Just an excellent product.

Trouble setting up the scan to email setting, otherwise, it prints beautifully, quickly, and quietly.
