Warranties work

Maybe they DO fix them somewhere and they see a second life with someone who can use a printer but cannot afford new units. However, I was told "not fixable." Fortunately I had purchased the extended warranty with the old unit and it was still good so I was able to replace the old unit with a new one for a considerable savings

The menu is a bit more difficult to work with on this model, and when the printer is first started, it makes really strange sounds. It is almost like the printer is being wound up for the day. I’m hoping that this noise doesn’t indicate an issue, but so far, the printer is working well.
