3 stars is for the printer as it functioned well but had a few issues that could be better. DO NOT SIGN UP FOR HP INSTANT INK!!! THEY controll when your printer works and doesnt work and then points fingers when their systems dont function properly. HP Instant Ink has locked me out of using my own printer. There was a glitch with connection between printer & Instant Ink. Tried every trouble shooting tip possible. Called Tech from HP, he tried remotely accessing my printer log in, router log in and computer log in and still could not resolve. In fact, he made it worse! Printer wont even connect to WiFi now! Called Geek Squad, they tried accessing remotely and said HP Instant Ink had to fix it, nothing wrong with connection, computer or printer. Called HP Instant Ink, they spent 2 hours making it worse. Called HP directly, said to get back to HP Instant Ink! I asked them to just restore to factory settings, and I'm now locked out of that too! Who's taking the responsibility for this mess??? Regardless, avoid the drama and get another brand without all the fuss.

purchased, got product set up (with a little on-line help) & started printing! like the clarity, both color & black/white.

I keep getting a notification that there is a printer error/paper jam. There is no paper jammed and currently trying to research how to resolve the issue (it's just frustrating) however when working, the printer is decent quality. I like that I can print from my phone and if I'm not in range of Wifi I can send documents to the printers email address and print from anywhere.

I have had the printer for about 4 months now and it is working OK except for scanning. Their forum was no help and finally i got an email saying as much and gave me a phone number to call. When talking to them their line continually breaks up (do they think we will get frustrated and hang up?). Several times I had to ask the agent to repeat. BUT WAIT, the big issue is that the agent says he could not help me and a technician would call me back. Never happened. I have gone through this cycle several times with this device. The quality of HP service has always been bad. A number of years ago I had HP desktop and printer each with issues, never solved. Swore I would never buy HP again. Several years later, i have and regret it.

Had all the bells and whistles for a fabulous price. Although, I'm still having issues scanning multiple pages onto the computer otherwise I would have given it a 5.

Overall very easy step and the touch screen looks real nice too. For a small home printer it does the job

The store associate was very helpful and knowledgeable of the equipment. At first I had to wait almost 20 minutes for a CSR, but it was worth the wait. Sunny answered all of my questions and she was very respectable and professional. The printer works great so far, easy to set up and I love the touch screen feature. The print quality is ok, I may have to improve my paper for better results. Not bad for the price and for the extended warranty that was purchased.

This is a good quality printer for the price. We sent our child to college with it, and she's happy with it.

I've had a HP printers for 15 years , I find the purpose of Ink cartridges with heads a much better system then the printer having heads. My first was Epson heads clogged up couldn't clean it so it got TRASHED , went to HP 2nd unit was 6980 has last till now, now this one ! Read reviews as you checked ink on cost and single ones then a pkg of colors . good luck

I got it on sale so the price wasn't so bad. Was a bit of pain to set up on the home network, but once is done works great. The best feature so far is the instant ink replenish system, though how much data they collect on what you are printing is a bit concerning.

Inexpensive, free shipping. Took one hour to unpack & set up. Printed first from 11-year-old PC; fine. Printed next from five-year-old laptop, no setup required cuz printer recognized my laptop from modem. Very happy!

Print quality is very good for a home printer. However, it is aggravating that the printer uses 902 cartridges, which are harder to find at some stores. Why does this company keep designing new printer cartridges? Also, there are constant communication problems with the printer. So bad that I had to get a cable to connect it to the desktop, and not use the wireless system. So now we can only print from one PC. Does not effectively work with other programs, and frequent errors in communication and finding the printer. Pick another model.

Does a great job of printing, scanning, etc. Basic printer and works well for an ink jet. Needed it for a home office and it does its job. If you just need a good reliable basic printer this will get the job done for a reasonable cost.

I recycle and old printer and got 15% discount coupon which I used to buy a brand new Hp printer. Great option that is offering Hp. The printer has an additional discount---- Great Saving

So I bought this back in the summer 2017. The thought was that I would get a good printer from a name brand mfg. I also wanted the ink plan thinking I would print at least 50 pages a month. I hardly hit that number monthly, no worries. So I finally printed enough to need new cartridges, the cyan, magenta and yellow first. The fun began when I had to replace the black cartridge. It failed to print. On the phone with HP and around and around we go until they decide they used up enough of my time and they need to replace the printer. So 2 days later new printer comes in and around and around we go until they again waste enough of my time and decide to replace the printer again. Would not align and print straight. So now I wait 5-7 days for this printer to show up. If this one fails I am taking back to best buy and using by Geek Squad extended warranty and no more HP support. They are awful. If you buy this make sure you get the Geek Squad warranty you will need it. Do not pay more than $99 for the printer.

I don’t know why all the bad reviews? Hp is one of the best in the business. Big bang for the buck! Get it, you won’t regret it!

Reasonable multi-function machine that performs as expected!! Good product.

I was happy with the printer while it was working. It printed, scanned, copied and connected to my home network fine. Then 1 month after the warranty expired the black ink quit working. I called HP and after walking me through some troubleshooting they said the black print head failed and I needed to replace the printer. I asked if they could do anything for me since it was only out of warranty by 1 month and they said they would sell me another one at a discounted price but their discounted price was Best Buy's normal price. I gave it one star because I feel like it should have lasted longer than a year.

I bought this printer in July of 2016. It worked out great initially! I used it to print out papers for school and I had three roommates who all used it too! Then in January of 2017 I got back to school, I went to boot up my printer and it said "paper jam" so I looked and did not find one. I ended up going through their online help service and did all the steps, but none of them worked. They eventually agreed to send me a refurbished printer (which made me a little upset because my printer was basically brand new). It started working again and I used it the rest of the school year and all the way through December of 2017. Then I go back to school in January of 2018 and what do you know "Paper Jam" pops up again. I again went online and went through all the steps. It still says Paper Jam. I have given up on this printer and have decided to buy a new one. DO NOT BUY IT DOES NOT LAST VERY LONG
